Reviews around midi (5.00 of 5)

  • Overall this is a great deal for a compact semi-portable midi keyboard.
  • Rather complicated with inadequate instruction book if you intend to use it outside of a turnkey midi app package like garage band
  • ** bulky there are plenty of other better options for portable midi controllers
  • I play in a performance band and was looking for a portable full size Midi Keyboard for playing solo parts with various instrument settings

Reviews around daw (5.00 of 5)

  • One of the things I like a lot is the DAW integration, it's easy to dowload the key mappings for every popular DAW software on the market and you can control a variety of functions of your DAW from the midi controller instead of using the mouse and keyboard of your computer
  • DAW integration (Ableton only):Ableton is my preferred DAW and is probably the most popular DAW
  • A perfect starter controller that has great keys and decent DAW tie-in.
  • On the plus side: this controller worked well with Logic, my DAW of choice, although advanced midi control setup looked daunting as it required the use of various keyboard keys to change settings
  • Ableton is the most popular DAW and offering a more robust control script would bring this to five stars for sure

Reviews around use (5.00 of 5)

  • On the plus side: this controller worked well with Logic, my DAW of choice, although advanced midi control setup looked daunting as it required the use of various keyboard keys to change settings
  • Great price for small keyboard, basic functions easy if used with Apple Garage Band, works on plugging in

Reviews around layout (5.00 of 5)

  • The layout of the controls are better than my other Midi controllers / keyboard
  • I feel like there could be a better layout for the buttons, but it's not bad.

Reviews around pad (5.00 of 5)

  • When researching midi keyboards to add to my beginner DAW setup this keyboard was one of the few with full-size velocity sensitive keys and velocity sensitive drum pads
  • The pads worked okay, but there are no dedicated patch selectors for them
  • I like the size of the keys and the pads are nice

Reviews around controller (4.45 of 5)

  • A perfect starter controller that has great keys and decent DAW tie-in.
  • This controller might suit the casual user or the new player, but I can’t recommend it for continual use.
  • the keys themselves are a bit wiggly, but operate wellOverall all, though, this is a great controller, and great bang for the buck.
  • ** bulky there are plenty of other better options for portable midi controllers
  • On the plus side: this controller worked well with Logic, my DAW of choice, although advanced midi control setup looked daunting as it required the use of various keyboard keys to change settings

Reviews around keyboard (4.13 of 5)

  • I have played on instruments from ultra-cheap Casio keyboards to grand pianos, but I have never played such stiff keys
  • The keyboard dull thud got much less after a little while
  • I don't know a good keyboard from a bad one yet, nor am I a very experienced musician in any way.
  • Overall this is a great deal for a compact semi-portable midi keyboard.
  • Keys are small if you have big hands (I wear XL gloves) but totally playable plus how else can you fit a sufficient number of keys on such a compact keyboard

  • Nektar DAW Integration custom designed for Bigwig, Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio, GarageBand, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason, Sonar and Studio One takes Impact LX25+ way beyond functionality normally offered by a USB MIDI controller keyboard
  • With Impact LX25+ the hard work is done, so you can focus on your creativity
  • The 25 note velocity sensitive keyboard is a synth action, full-size, piano-style keys with a medium tension
  • A 30mm fader and 8 pots are at the center of the Impact LX25+ control panel
  • Each control is fully programmable to send any MIDI CC message for use with hardware or software MIDI products
  • For groove and beat creation, Impact LX25+'s 8 velocity sensitive pads
  • Calibrated to trigger at a light touch, finger drumming is suddenly well within reach with a nice and even velocity response
  • The best part is the "Pad Learn“ feature, which allows you to just select a pad, play the note or drum sound you want on the keyboard and assignment is done
  • The 4 color LED illumination indicates which pad map is currently loaded and can even tell you which type of MIDI message each pad sends
  • With Nektar DAW Integration, the pads are automatically mapped in for example Reason and Bigwig.
  • The two Clips and Scenes buttons are used in Bigwig to trigger...., Clips and Scenes
  • In Reason, a clever control of Reason's location points create a similar experience with scenes triggering of any Reason song
  • The 6 dedicated transport buttons are always within reach and mapped to control Cycle, Rewind, Forward, Stop, Play and Record
  • Press Shift to get access to alternate functions such as Got L, Set L, Set R, Undo, Click and Mode
