So safe guarding my collection is of utmost importance, since the majority of my albums are over 40 years old and making sure the stylus is not applying to much pressure helps make sure that the quality of the sound is not degraded

It's kinda cheesy, you don't pick this up and go "oooh, so well built, so much quality" but it does seem to get the job done.

Item is easy to use, comes with a calibration mass, and compared favorably with an old style balance beam in an A-B comparison but was easier to use than the balance beam.
