It does jam if one fires rapidly.

You get six shots with this blaster from a rotating drum setup and you can either fire them manually or in a rapid fire mode that involves the shooter holding down the trigger and continually pulling the slide back until the darts have been exhausted

Fits nicely in my 11 and 7yr old sons hands, fires good, bullets shoot far

In conclusion, the Disruptor is a terrific successor to the Strongarm and IMHO the best standard Nerf pistol for those who like Slam-fire (the Hammershot is still a Nerfer sidearm favorite due to it's holster-ability and one-hand priming operation).
