It has some impressive power and distance to the darts.
My son has been bugging me for months for this nerf gun, and to see him trying to get the bullets out instead of playing just completely dissapoints me about this purchase.

The trick is always be careful when loading the darts in the gun.
Wouldn't recommend for younger children who aren't mature or responsible as this gun requires proper loading of the detachable barrel & can often become jammed which needs to be fixed appropriately
Also, it ruins many of the foam darts by crushing them when loading; even if you are very careful about putting them in right
