Its just a solid 8 port switch
-
Got the 16-port switch and works flawlessly
-
When I brought in a second computer to do some additional work, I discovered that my router didn't have enough ports, so I ordered the Netgear 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308v3)
-
This item is being used to increase the number of available ports on a modem/router and works as described, easy to setup, shipping was fast.
-
I initially thought 16 ports was overkill but, by the time I was done, there's only one free connection.
-
I have our primary router, and an old one that I've wanted to use as an access point, but I just didn't have the available ports on the primary router
-
Solid 8 port switch at great price!
-
They both had two dead ports
-
Used this to replace a 5 port switch with this 8 port - works great, easy to install.

This is just a straightforward 8-port unmanaged switch that does one thing very well: split a network signal into 10/100/1000 ports

Take out of the box, and plug in power and ports and your ready to go.
-
I had enough ports to hook everything up and some left over got my signal strength
-
The footprint of the 16 port is about the same as my 8 port, more compact.
-
It seems to work just fine as long as you leave the ports static and don't disconnect a laptop and move it to a different port on the same switch.
-
Worked great, now have enough ports!

I bought one of the Netgear 16-port switches in July ’17, which worked until it failed in January ’19.

Less than 8 months old and 3 ports go dead

It replaces another Netgear switch that ports went bad only after a few years.
-
Lots of gigabit-capable ports, runs near silent and cool.
-
they work great and are a much better option than some other higher priced alternatives IMHO.This is a great unmanaged 48 port switch.
-
Remember you lose one port because you need one to connect to your router.
-
5 ports was just right for me.
-
The 8 port was cheaper then the 5 port at the time.
