The NETGEAR AC1000 Dual Band Wi-Fi Router delivers Wi-Fi speeds up to 300+700Mbps. It allows you to upgrade your Wi-Fi to support new AC devices. NETGEAR genie app lets you easily manage your home network. It's easy to install a...
The router works great, it's fast and has a great range
I’ve had 3 consecutive Airports, and finally got tired of the intermittent slowdowns and crappy range
Never had this problem with my older router that just gave out after 6 years.. this new one is supposed to be 5g and doesnt even work as well as the older version n etgear that didnt even have 5g
It's a good cheap home router with decent to good wifi range
I was constantly getting slower speeds and poor range with my old one and this is the exact opposite of that
Noticeable performance improvement from our previous router
I was using ATT router first when I installed ATT fiber, and was not able to enjoy the superiority of 1000M internet due to the poor performance of the ATT router
but it was super easy and the software will even give you prompts for when settings are going to lower your connection speeds and potentially hinder performance
Returned the Nighthawk and still enjoying better performance from old router.
The performance and management of this router was fine.
Clock ran out on warranty by the time the problem was a hardware failure rather than my installation skills.
To paraphrase the wizard, this router could have the slogan "I am Nighthawk X4S, the great and powerful"I purchased the R7800 to replace a failing R7000
Now I have Wi-Fi for my Chromebook and my phone, as well as for friend's phones when they want to stream music etc

To keep this short, he said it was hardware failure (?)
I also don't have to reset it daily to attempt to increase my speed as I regularly get faster than I'm supposedly paying for

(it was still working but WiFi in certain parts of the house would buffer a bunch) thinking it would fix my WiFi issues.
Way better than my old router I currently have 13 devices connected and climbing no WiFi issues and no complaints!!

Router has been having issues dropping devices or the entire band intermittently and not let devices connect to the interned while others have no connectivity issues
I have always had connectivity issues, issues with stability, reboots or latency problems
n’t previously have like Guest WiFi access, remote tools for the owner (via App), and usage map, all nice to have
and I have had zero connectivity issues anywhere in my house, with approximately 10-12 connections at any given time.
As with my previous router, the external USB hard drive support is nice for setting to a media server
My other router allowed my blu-ray player to play videos and music through my laptop from an external hard drive with no problem

I also connected one of my external hard drives to the X4S WiFi router

Mb/s through the far reaches of a 2 story house and 64 Mb/s in a room just down the hall from the router which is just as fast as a direct wire connection to the cable modem.
When I finally got the first one up and running the speed was terrible both wired and WiFi
I also don't have to reset it daily to attempt to increase my speed as I regularly get faster than I'm supposedly paying for
I simply switched to a wired connect and problem is solved
Make sure you are reading the review for the correct model when purchasing.
and I didn't want to take a chance with buying a cheaper model with low reviews.
Decided to go with a slightly more expensive model and it’s night and day
Replaced an older (cheaper) model I had bought first that I had to return because of horrible range.
This was not the router that I was offered at Best Buy at first; it was the cheapest brand and the sales guy wanted to sell me the more expensive model
