NETGEAR Cable Modem CM1000 - Compatible with all Cable Providers including Xfinity by Comcast, Spectrum, Cox | For Cable Plans Up to 1 Gigabit | DOCSIS 3.1

    • Followed simple directions on Comcast’s website about replacing a modem, then manually navigated to the Comcast website they specified, entered my Comcast account number and street address and in a couple minutes I was fully activated, including two different phone lines.
    • I have always set static addresses from .2 to .199 for known devices.
    • Then the last week we had zero internet because it kept saying invalid ip address
    • If your home networkincludes devices with static IP addresses not on class C
    • The other LAN ports are meant for LAG or business class static IP addressing configurations for use with external routers connected
    • I tried to hook this up to my brand new 4K Sony TV, and because it uses some kind of odd mac address the TV will not recognize it no matter what is done
    • The problem is that you can no longer assign static IP addresses to specific devices OUTSIDE OF THE DHCP RANGE.
    • The label on the box has the correct MAC address for the cable modem, but an incorrect MAC address for the phone adapter, which should be the CM MAC address plus one

    • All you need is your Xfinity information - account number and login and the information off the bottom of the unit, Serial number, MAC Address the model number and your phone number
    • Works exactly as it should and was a hassle-free hookup
    • Works exactly as it's supposed to!
    • Works as i intended.
    • I would like a
    • I plug the LAN cable to my Router and everything work as it should.
    • I am pleased with the quality of the Netgear products as well as with the excellent customer service provided by the Netgear technicians.
    • This should work as it says on it Xfinity and it is also under Xfinity approved list, so why you guys have no solution?????
    • They depend on great wifi for work and no excuses: must work and consistently, so this is a huge improvement for speed and signal strength throughout their (long) place as well as into their yard!Older buildings and rentals are a mess for signal strength; this was a solid improvement, although it took two days of their setting up, way out of the ease for older people like us, but for a younger wire-head, son-in-law was ecstatic.
    • WORKS A
    • Good as of 8/3/18 very fast
    • So far I have no complaints--the speeds are as good as
    • However, the strength of the WI FI is not as good as from my other modem that belonged to Verison
    • Works as it should all the time.
    • Install was the quickest I've had except had to be transferred to get phone line to work as it was still registered to the old modem.
    • I politely declined as that was far too expensive and beyond the my needs, plus if everything outside of the modem tests fine, the reasonable deduction is that it is the modem that is faulty.
    • I recommend this to everyone who want to avoid cord mess as it is composite of Modem & Router
    • So happy that I ordered this, my internet now works as it should thanks to this
    • Everything is working great and my picture is just as clear as when I had cable.
    • Great product, definitely works as I had planned, even has greater speeds than the rental I had.
    • Finally I told the tech to just install a modem off his truck and viola everything worked as it should.
    • Feels good to finally ditchethe equipment rental fee :D!

    • The rented device was still showing up on my account and that is why my tv’s stopped working
    • I WOULD NOT BUY THIS MODEM AGAIN, AND WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST ITS PURCHASE.It’s always difficult to say if a device providing poor connectivity is due to the vendor (e.g. Cox, Mediacom, etc.) or the hardware
    • We use ours with the Orbi router and it’s very nice being able to turn kids WiFi’s on and off or use the timers and parental controls.
    • The first ID’s on the box were different than on the modem and didn’t work!
    • The next weekend all my TV’s stopped working because they needed to be re-activated
    • They checked the model number and we came to realize that this model only supports UP TO 300 mb/s!!
