    • Netgear offers a 1-year warranty, but you have to waste hours of your time, and allow remote access to your computer in order to get a replacement.
    • Upon installation, DNS issues, resolving host failures and 3 hours on the phone.
    • I ordered to buy this fresh new modem, while when I received the package, opened it, surprised to find the cable line are loose, missing installation guide inside the package, then I spent around 2 hours to install the modem, using comcast self-activation process, it always failed, then call agent, wait for 48 mins to get agent help me, provide the MAC address of this modem, comcast agent told me that this modem is being used by other customer inside comcast modem
    • I spent 5 hours the first night working with Netgear and my ISP (Comcast) to setup the device correctly; I was unable to use the activate link and had to call Comcast.
    • I wasted hours and hours with tech trying to solve the problem, and so now if I want Ethernet hard line (WIFI is shown to have negative health effects), directly to the TV, too bad, no luck, gotta buy another modem

    • Even if it does, and we got a defective unit, a two hundred and thirty dollar modem that took 6 hours of tech support to simply fail miserably at being a modem is probably not worth your time

    • Well, the appointed hour comes and I received a call that the technician was running behind and could be there by 9:00 PM that evening.
    • Worked great with 100% uptime while it worked, now it restarts about every hour or so
    • This time, it took support an hour to determine my modem is dead, then proceeded to blame my ISP.This is my last one

    • NETGEAR tried to assist but a really difficult to work with representative spent a few hours trying to help without resolution and then tried to blame our router which has always worked and then tried to sell us a $120/year plan to help us win our router
    • Got this product in June and hooked it up and didn’t realize after 3.5 months that it was the modem issues I was having, I spent countless hours on the phone with Comcast and had 3 techs sent out and the last tech swapped out my modem with theirs and it works perfectly, so much time wasted
    • Kept going in and out, couldn't connect to Comcast internet randomly and would last 1-2 hours at a time until it completely failed just recently
    • but it took 3 Comcast technical support people, 4 1/2 hours and my solution to get this done
    • Wasted over an hour on phone w/ Comcast.
    • The out of box instructions did not work with xfinity, it took over 24 hours and multiple calls with their outsourced tech support for the modem to be recognized and come online
