All you need is your Xfinity information - account number and login and the information off the bottom of the unit, Serial number, MAC Address the model number and your phone number

It apparently is identical to the CM1000 but has a different model number that Comcast won't support.

The model number on the packaging CM500V is different from the actual upc model number CM500V-100NAS of the item shipped

You need docsis 3.1 modem for 1Gbps, and this netgear was the missing piece!Install was easy, I plugged it right up and called the Xfinity agents up and this sweet agent did all the work after she put in the MAC address and Model number on my account to activate, then unplugged the router and BOOOM

I will update this when/if necessary and I will also list the router model number when I get a chance as well

They checked the model number and we came to realize that this model only supports UP TO 300 mb/s!!

I asked him if he had the hardware's MAC addresses and model number, and he said yes
