It kept locking up on me and required a hard (power cycle) reboot to reset it.

Do NOT use the Comcast website to activate the new modem.- Call Comcast in the middle of the day, during them middle of the week.- Talk with an actual human being who will provision the new modem and remove the monthly charge for your old modem (if you were renting it from them). In addition, I recommend using an UPS that protects both the power and the coaxial lines going into the modem

Pro love the easy set up n the power.

Seems to run the same temperature under normal utilization as well, which means it performs fine under normal utilization but might be wasting some power when its idle.
-
If you accidentally lost power or unplugged it, you would have to move it to another room
-
Works great when it's working...unfortunately, if you need to unplug it or you lose power, good luck getting it to work again
-
Lost power once and when the power came back phone, tv and internet all did too.
-
My old Modem/router still worked, just wanted better connection and power
-
But broke after 1.2years just pass warranty, due to a possible power surge or broken power adapter
-
The only negative is a huge external power adapter, located directly on the plug
-
I'm using a cheap surge protector rather than a nice power conditioner with visible
-
Recently lost power and corrupted the software/firmware

Attempted at least nine reboots (unplugged power cord for 20-30 seconds, connected power cord directly to outlet instead of power strip, restart modem via Comcast website diagnostic tool, checked hardware connections) because the internet connection didn't last more than 10-20 minutes at a time before the sign of death (all the lights turned off except the power solid red light)
