    NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 VDSL/ADSL Modem Router Certified with CenturyLink - Non-bonded, DSL Internet Only (D7000)

    • The few questions that are needed to set this up for my local VDSL service I just asked the tech support from my local internet provider
    • I will admit Netgear tech support was difficult to understand, but ultimately, I believe it was AT&T that got me up and running despite telling me they don't troubleshoot 3rd party routers

    • Netgear won't give you a replacement router unless their tech support confirms that it is a hardware issue
    • We did what tech support told us, then they tell us, NO your modem should not be updated

    • What's worse, even if the router is in fact defective, we will not be able to exchange it under the 1 yr manufacturers warranty without first paying the tech support subscription fee to determine over the phone that the unit is defective

    • With all the cheaper routers out there, I was basically forced to buy this one at Best Buy today, as they claimed the router I was told to get by my phone server was "obsolete" even though the tech support person looked it up online for me and
