Supposedly an easy setup, which it kinda is, on a supposedly a fast router, again "kinda is"

No real issues at all although it took me a little bit to get the external Plex Media Server working but other than that, setup was nice and smooth

When you setup the router initially it prompts you to download this dumb genie app for managing the router.

The Nighthawk AC2300 router is an awesome router with super easy setup and coverage for the entire house

The price is fantastic for the speed and simplicity of setup for a router of this caliber.

I can only say that the performance on the 2.4 ghz channel was really poor and overall wireless bandwidth speeds were really inconsistent no matter the range or channel selection.

I was using powerline ethernet for devices that were in weak signal areas and now I use the wifi because I did a speedtest comparison and found its better to use my wifi now on those devices

We were using Spectrum's pretty terrible router before and having problems getting the signal to reach the guest house in the backyard

I paid a lot of money for this, it worked for a little pass 90 days, now it disconnects from devices for no reason, my 5G doesn't work

Strong signal in the guest house now, even the 5G comes through out there

This is a great router, with great range and great speed

The only issue is that I have to restart the router every 24 hours or else the speeds slow below 100mbps

It's a great router that has consistent coverage and speed across the entire house.

It had the same problem as the C7800 with it's 2.4Ghz giving slow speeds and connection drops

Take note that most home users don't care about the missing feature I am raving about

Moreover the netgear GUI allows users to set priorities to devices which are then overwritten by Dynamic QoS making it a useless and misleading feature.

While this wireless router has great features, it has major issues that have yet to be resolved by Netgear

Started having problems with it dropping devices from wireless several months after purchasing it.

It is easy to install and all of my smart devices where easily connected.

Have up to 14 devices connected and no lag, specially when streaming or watching live broadcasts

Customer service is so important to not f$%& up yet this company found a way to slap me in the face so hard with frustration that I'm never buying another one of their products after this.

The most significant issue is that a firmware update 32 days after I bought the router corrupted the 5ghz radio and rendered it unusable

After reading the Netgear forums, it seems that this is a very common issue and reverting back to an old firmware version should fix the problem (which is unacceptable in the tech world)

It was a breeze to set up and take over for the failing unit.

Obvious Hardware or firmware involved problems like the unit locks up and needs to be power cycled to regain control are hardware or firmware

On days that I was working at home, I was having serious connectivity problems with my old wireless router.

I had some connectivity problems, and blamed them on the router, when in fact, it was a computer problem.

As for their web site - I tried for 45 minutes to log on and not being able to do that, I tried to find a support phone number on the site.

Seems to me, when you click a link that says "Contact Us", it should give you a phone number or at least an email address.

It took me a bit to figure out how to do port-forwarding on the unit, as opposed to the D-Link (which severely limited how many ports you could forward.
