But overall works as expected, and works perfect with cricket sim card.
I am leaving as 3 stars because the product itself works well (when working.)
I will definitely not be buying another of these, or their successors in the NetGear line,It has worked well enough as a router between multiple connected laptops, and gets a good day's worth of runtime out of one battery

AT & T not clear regarding monthly charges plus minutes program...my previous carrier was actually a better deal.
For the price it''s a great deal especially if you live near a city.

So generally if you have a cell signal you'll get good speeds, that said though, I've experienced full signal indicated but slow or no data available on my phone, so be aware.
Had solid signal at all times without the need for an external antenna
Lots of great features and the signal reaches all over my house end to end (when it gets enough signal to get on the net)CONS: It changes networks frequently, if you have poor signal where you live your stuck with it

I've called the AT&T toll free number and talked to a representative.
Connection is fast and it doesn't lock up the computer.
So the connection is both good with ATT and with local WiFi devices

Technically, the device works fine, but the customer support for the Prepaid GoPhone borders on a scam
The device was good for about a year and has steadily deteriorated since then
Like everything AT&T has ever produced, this device is garbage and the associated service is worse
The device works great and if the data plan is for you or you can use this on your current plan it is a great little device and a great price with the two year agreement.
This is a great, mobile, easy HotSpot device that works just like any Wi-Fi on any device with a great connection
I can't get a good internet connection in the Country..........but this hotspot works really well.

I purchased this item to replace an ATT MiFi with an exploded battery
I was not pleased with this device the battery was dead and the SIM card did not work
I got over 8 hours of use on my first charge, and it has a replaceable battery, so I plan to buy an extra one in case I need more extended use between charges

The T_Moble card worked from the gitgo
and I had a hard time opening the cover enough to remove the SIM
Reception is the same as a cell phone, in fact when you create an account you get a phone number from AT&T for the device
What none of the instructions tell you is that your temporary password is the last 4 numbers of the phone number assigned to your device.
U will not regret it
The AT&T Unite device has a phone number and receives text messages, but there is no way to answer these messages
Keep in mind that even though it is not a phone it is treated as one and you are assigned a phone number
