Only time I need to call tech support is to port my old phone numbers to my Duo.

The new one is much better and the tech support at Nettalk helped me with the transfer of my current phone number to the new unit

This was after calling tech support and doing a firmware update that was supposedly going to fix the problem

Explanation:After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes the first time and 3 hours the second time, I finally got to tech support individuals that fixed my problems through in depth trouble shooting requiring my help.

Today (before activating this unit) I had a simple customer support question.

I contacted their tech support as well as customer support for over 4 hours only to be cut off of chat sessions by them and calls being hung up on by them after on hold for 55 minutes waiting for someone to pick up the phone in the first place

No customer support, doesn't work with some 1-800 numbers, doesn't work with MOST of voicemail (you can't leave a message) and you will lose the line on 1 call out of 3

Not only that, the box said "Live Customer Support, 7 Days a Week" which is not true

I have used a NetTalk for a couple of years, and it worked fine, but when I had a problem, the customer service was horrible.

I never got the Nettalk device to work right and their Customer service was pretty much non-existent

Overall, I am quite happy with this product, and enjoy NetTalk's portability as well

I understand some people do not care about this, but I found it annoying as netTalk has the ability to put your name on he Caller ID but only after hassling their customer service department about it

so closeting the cisco router and plugging nettalk into the att router the nettalk worked perfectly without the need of additional setup.

Also with Ooma you get free phone service, no yearly charge, although some areas you will have to pay monthly taxes and fees (usually $5.00-$6.00 if you have to which is something I'm sure the folks at netTalk are supposed to do)
