I can't honestly say for sure if it's 7.1 surround but after watching a few test video's provided by the "Dolby Atmos" app found in the Window's store, the "Virtual" surround sound it provides is quite exceptional ^_^I would consider this a great headset for gaming, watching movies or listening to music on your computer.

The sound is pretty clear and the headset itself is comfortable for shorter sessions

For this price value, this is probably one of the best headsets you could get

(it's the mic I am using, the headset was just too uncomfortable) , it's good for its price but don't expect a good mic.

For a cheap headset its worth it

The other thing is that every once in a while mainly once a day the headset go crazy and just started going all staticky causing me to rip off the headset and unplug it

Think carefully about whether it's worth it to pay a bit more for a better headset that will last or to pay for one that will break shortly, resulting in another purchase anyways.
