Interior does not light up when you open the door (only when you push the button for the light)- Temperature controls allow only for temperatures as low as 36 degrees on top and near 50 degrees for the bottom shelves- bottom wine racks cannot be removed (in case you were planning to store larger or odd sized bottles or other items.- Price is excessive for a wine fridge (even one that is well built such as this one).

Finally found one with Dual zones and good reviews.

Like it a lot but other reviews were right about the top shelf not getting cold enough....but for the money still good.

Although 55 degrees is a good temperature for the long term storage of red wine, it is not cold enough for white wine

The temperature control lets you set them at the best temperature for them.

The problem is that the bottom shelf only gets down to about 50 degrees (Most experts say that 37 degrees is the ideal fridge temperature.)

As for wine, 55 is the best temperature and 65 is the highest you should go

It is unclear to me why anyone would design a beverage "cooler" that - at best - delivers neither beer nor white wine cooled to a proper temperature.

I did test the temperatures of the zones using a surface temp thermal laser and the colder zone seemed to be off by about 10 degrees and the warmer zone by only 2 or 3.

UPDATE 09/11/19: Newair sent out a replacement unit as I was dealing with ice buildup in the top zone.

but it just doesn't get cold enough in the top beverage zone.

TERRIBLE FRIDGE - DO NOT PURCHASE

Have a cheap $150 mini fridge in our garage that hasn’t given us any issues

I *very* rarely give 5-star reviews, so if anything goes downhill I will likely come back and edit this, but honestly, so far I am LOVING this beverage fridge

The original unit I purchased has been replaced two separate times and I am now on defective unit #3.

This is a stainless steel unit with a black top and sides so that all of the stainless is shown on the very attractive front panel which is glass

After that, the unit stopped cooling entirely and finding a new compressor part number is impossible

The reading on my temperature sensor does not go below 43 while the unit displays a the temperature as 36.I based my purchase based on the reviews by the Vine customers (folks who recieve a free unit) here in Amazon
