This lens is definitely sharper than the 35mm and I like the bokeh better

This macro just oozes wonderful contrast and bokeh.

I decided against the 35mm because of it's issues with Chromatic Aberration (though I understand my camera should correct it automatically) and I saw a lot of pictures with really poor bokeh

This lens is really worth every penny it costs, superb contrast and bokeh

Instead I'd switch to your kit lens and set it to *at least* 50mm (75mm equiv) unless you need better speed or bokeh

Love the bokeh, but mainly use this for photographing my art work, which can range from 12 x 12" to 4' x 5', there is no barrel distortion and the images crisp and clear.

The bokeh is so good with this lens also, I love it
