    Nikon AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Close-up Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras

    • Nikon makes far more expensive lenses for the professional but for anybody up to an including the advanced amateur this is the way to go
    • They are among the best lenses made by anybody
    • one of my favorite lenses
    • I find that zoom lenses are really only useful in situations where you often need to go from "wide angle" (perhaps you can't step back far enough) to "short telephoto"
    • I am an amateur, hobbyist nature photographer and I have been looking for a macro lens with a reasonable price tag (as a grad student I cannot afford the $700-1500+ lenses)
    • Super sharp lense amazing focus distance will work perfect on the d3300 or in crop mode on the D750
    • Amazing portrait lense
    • Awesome lense at an awesome price.
    • I am well pleased with this recent offering from Nikon; they truly make great lenses.
    • This far outshines the two kit lenses
    • Awesome lense for macro or portrait photography definitely a great purchase.
    • I decided on this one, after extensive research, over one of the more expensive macro lenses because it made more sense for me to test the waters before going all out and buying an expensive macro lens
    • Now macro lenses are expensive, so when I found
    • That's like all the other lenses you probably own
    • I finally found a great Micro Lense that I can take close ups up to 2 cm away
    • This lens and the nikon 50mm f1.8 are among the best Nikkor lenses and the price is a real deal maker.
    • In some ways I find the manual focus a little to light for my taste, but no lenses is perfect
    • It is simply one of the best lenses I have ever
    • I have all the great Nikon trinity glass 14-24, 24-70, 70-200mm and other great Nikon pro lenses
    • Little more than a stop slower than 35mm 1.8 dx lense but very useful small, light weight, sharp general purpose lense with macro capabilities
    • Beware -- it kind of spoils you when it comes to less impressive lenses
    • This complements my other lenses for my D200 without breaking the bank.
    • Great lense but not what I expected it to be
    • This is one of the most versatile and satisfying lenses that a pro or rank amateur alike will find
