Very Sharp pictures, my favorite lens to date...

G is cheaper yet produces sharp pictures about the same or better

It help me to remember the old times with the film cameras, you need to think the better pictures, you have to imagine how is going to look, you have to know your camera, If you make your homeworks this lens is more tan enough

My camera takes now very good pictures

I purchased this lens while my Sigma 18-200mm lens was being repaired (Sigma stepped up and helped even though it was a year out of warranty) and I have to say it was love at first use of this lens on my D80.The 18-200 is a nice lens and takes sharper pictures than the Tamron equivalent, but the clarity of the Nikon 50mm 1.8G is in a completely different league.

Excellent picture quality

Unfortunately, I had a zoom that took decent pictures at that speed, and the low light function of being able to open up to 1.8 weren't really all that usable as they would result is just OK pictures

With the kit lens, I can crank down the aperture speed to 1/30 and get a decent picture

This 50mm 1.8G produces wonderful portrait pictures, with beautiful bokeh

This means I made some fantastic pictures with it because, as you will read in other reviews, the bokeh is gorgious and it definitively enhances the colors and expands the contrast spectrum

Paired with the Nikon SB-900 AF Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras, anyone can take a picture perfect portrait, and you can capture gorgeous bokeh and snap away in low light situations thanks to the large 1.8 aperture.

But this lense takes some incredible pictures

I use it on a Nikon d7100 DX camera, and the pictures are wonderful.

My pictures are more crisp and detailed than I could have ever imagined

I take pictures of dogs for dog rescue and this lens works great for what I needed it for!

I had the standard 18-55 which reproduces decent pictures however this one is outstanding and especially in low light conditions

Very helpful to add faster shutter speeds so I can get good pictures of my 1 year old son and still have adequate light without having to crank the ISO.

f/2.8G which i've been using for product photography for quite some time, with excellent, and i mean super great picture quality, it gives me tack sharp images with a Nikon D7200

I usually shot or portraits and wedding, picture so clear and sharp to details.

I initially bought the d3100 to take better pictures than a point-and-shoot could, I feel that this lens has made a similar step-up from the kit lens
