I had been baking bacon on a cookie sheet using a cooling rack for the bacon and sometimes ended up spilling grease in the oven while removing it because the cookie sheet wasn't deep enough.

This pan is so much better because it's deep enough to capture all the grease and the coating on the rack makes it so much easier to clean than using a cooling rack.

Solid rack, pan warps, but not to bad, kinda like a tin cookie sheet.

Then I soaked the pan (with rack inside) in hot, soapy water for about an hour

I soak it with warm water before scrubbing

Then I just washed it with hot, soapy water and a washcloth and set it in the dish drainer to dry
