The Touchscreen console is very nice, and responsive, and the fan works well
Online tools only work with IFit no other program works with this equipment
However, getting one delivered in perfect working order is another story
Two week update: really enjoying the video work outs more then I thought I would
After battling Amazon (Home Services, and special handling department) though the process of having a undamaged unit delivered and a damaged one removed (2 week+ process) we finally had a self built (home services was the absolute worst) fully working machine in place
Assembly was a little more difficult (time-wise) than I'd expected
I feel I'm fairly well qualified to provide an objective review of this NoricTrack C990.First off, if you don't get free assembly as part of your purchase, I'd highly recommend paying extra for it.
I couldn't believe purchasing such a high end trend mill for such a great price.
The price was great for the product I received
Very good price for such a quality model
The iFIT is exorbitantly priced, so I'm wasting all the hi-tech interface and sticking to my 5 mile run.
I spent days, probably a week or more after making the decision to spend the money, researching the best, most affordable models, the features I wanted and didn't really need, the price range I felt most comfortable with, and what place would give me the best price.
If you don't need the google maps picturesque feature then it will work fine
A great, space savings feature and makes it easy to move as well
Well here's the thing: the treadmill takes several minutes to boot up and connect to wifi and load up all these silly features that are useless for those of us who simply like to run
Don't expect miracles or crazy features
The feature to be able to see the street view through Google Maps, as you run, is a cool feature, and takes the boredom out of your workout
Console and buttons died 6 months into owning it with no heavy usage
Totally wasted potential here, makes really sad :(The console is a little too far forward, if I'm walking at 3mph, I find I really have to stretch forward to reach the touch screen or my feet start to hit the treadmill track cover at the front of the track
Also, the console had a screw pole broken on the back that needs to fix
The console stopped working after 2 weeks
Drive motor blew up after 1.5 months, console had issues with the speakers fading in and out at various volumes only a couple months after that, then the drive belt blew recently
Only had this treadmill for 5 months and it's already making a strange noise, like something is dragging or snagging
It has gotten to the point where I am afraid to use this treadmill because of the loud noises it makes while running, and I do not want to make the problem worse
Only had this treadmill for 5 months and it's already making a strange noise, like something is dragging or snagging
Apparently the incline had extra plastic on the case, which caused it to make a loud banging noise when lowering
Once I used the incline I noticed there was a funny noise in the in-line position
To get that fan blowing anywhere on my face would require me to be over 6' or at a walking pace with my arms draped over the hand bars and leaning forward.
No Adjustable Air deflectors (See 2 & 6 Month updates below) - The fan blows in a fixed position and cannot be adjusted to blow higher or lower
I can't walk faster than 2mph if I want to have the fan blow on my face, anything faster and my stride is too large and I hit the motor cover at the front of the track
Others mention the fan blowing kind of high, and at 5'8 I can say that it blows right in my face
I agree with other reviewers that the fan blows above my head unless I'm really close to the console, and I'm fairly tall, but that's not a big deal to me.
