my daughter enjoys it and I think the altitude is more at fault with our success than the product itself, hence the 4 instead of 3 stars.

I gave it four stars, not five, as the bottom plate does get extremely hot, and no temperature adjustment, and if you do not take out the brownies or cake at the right time they will start to burn so must keep a good check on them while cooking and testing frequently from 8-10 minutes with the toothpic in the middle for doneness

I do not know if I received a bad machine, but I have nothing but negative things to say about this product

The best thing about this is the versatility of the machine

They did the same thing...burnt on bottom and not cooked on the top

The do have to stay close by because things are easy to burn.

However: The brownies tended to have to be overly brown (read slightly burned) on the bottom before they were cooked in the middle and the quantities in the recipe book didn't really work:
