It took a bit of finagling at first, because I didn't realize that you have to go into settings and enable the input and outputs (for the MIDI input to work, and for the lightshow to work, respectively).

I will say, based on the youtube videos that convinced us to buy this thing, that it is the epitome of reasonably priced controllers
