Oculus Rift + Touch Virtual Reality System
Edition:Oculus Rift + Touch System
Rift is unlike anything you've ever experienced. Whether you're stepping into your favorite game, watching an immersive VR movie, jumping to a destination on the other side of the world, or just spending time with...
It is also telling that no extended warranty is available for these making this a risky purchase.
This is buy far the best, and most expensive, purchase i have ever made on amazon
Well worth the purchase, but I do recommend getting a third sensor for good 360 tracking, an HDMI and USB 3.0 extension cable, as well as at least two active USB 3.0 extenders for any sensors that are placed further away from the PC

The touch controller, however great they are, they definitely make it hard to stick your finger up along your nose to scratch an
Especially at the great price point of ~$400 right now.
The price is truly unbeatable for getting into the VR experience
It was a great price but concerned how I can contact the seller on how to see if the headset is defective.
But I wouldn't recommend that headset any way because the image quality is the only advantage, everything else is a disappointment, including the insane price
Totally recommend this to anyone looking to get into VR at a decent price.
I bought this vr headset and it seems the display doesn't work i tried everything to get it to work it has to be busted then why me?I want to know who I must contact for a faulty rift that display doesnt
I love the Oculus Rift and VR in general, but it definitely has it's pros and cons
I would most definitely recommend Oculus Rift to anyone that is interested in the idea of VR
I can't recommend the Rift enough, it's really an incredible experience playing in VR.
The Oculus Rift has a well known issue that has been plaguing many customers that occurs because of a flimsy concealed ribbon cable which powers the headphones and backside LEDS
It's a comfortable headset that I've worn for hours at a time when in a gaming session
I did have some problems with the software recognizing the headset and

The controls are intuitive, the headset is mostly comfortable although those who wear glasses will find it more awkward

Something to keep in mind with the set up, watch what kind of lights you use, small lights like Christmas lights will mess with the sensors and you will have tracking issues
Once they were set up I had few tracking issues unless I was faced away from the sensors
I've got a solid state C: drive and really didn't want to install there - but it was inordinately difficult to switch.
The product feels premium as well as it should coming from Facebook
The controllers feel amazing, and the batteries are replaceable with external rechargeable AA's
Then it tells me I have to continue the setup or it keeps vibrating my controller and killing my AA batteries
It vibrates my right controller burning out the battery until I do a setup where it tells me to disconnect the sensors from the wall and move them inwards like magic floating in the air
The touch controller, however great they are, they definitely make it hard to stick your finger up along your nose to scratch an
Not as sharp as I would have liked but that kind of sharpness costs a lot more money.
The Oculus Rift has a well known issue that has been plaguing many customers that occurs because of a flimsy concealed ribbon cable which powers the headphones and backside LEDS
When a customer spends about $400.00 for a product that NEVER worked it should not be necessary to BEG for assistance... especially a defective cable!
Also be wary that wherever you are using this, the cable will be tethered to a device on your head and your, rather expensive if it's capable of running this device, PC.
Along with that, the Vive's cables are much cleaner than the rift's, as the vive uses only power to get proper tracking, while each oculus camera plugs into your computer via USB
Although Oculus recommends a 7ft by 5ft area, you can get away with a little less
I play Elite Dangerous, and in VR mode it is impossible to explain the feeling of reality, my body actually believes it is moving and is in a 360 deg. environment
AND then there is Elite Dangerous, the go-to VR game, it seems.
His favorite thing to do is to play elite dangerous with it.
Things to try: Robo-recall, Google Earth VR, Projects Cars, Elite Dangerous
Also, if you have SSD and your main drive is dynamic, enjoy setting it up an an alternative drive (has to be installed on a basic drive) because the setup program is too stupidly-designed to recognize the difference between disc drives (It'll give you a "you don't have enough space" error and shut down).I finally got piece of garbage working and it worked great for a few months.
Took 3+ hours to install initially because it is poorly designed and is picky about everything (from hard drive to USB drives)
I have done updates that have caused my handsets to buzz uncontrollably, which I fix by restoring an older hard drive image.
It's a given about hard drive space for virtual memories sake
I spend more time updating software and restoring previous hard drive images than playing the Rift.
The same issue is widely reported on the net that there is a known issue with the headset.
The main thing finding a set of USB 3.0 ports that is capable of running the sensors and this has been a known issue in the VR community, which generally recommending the Inateck USB pci cards
