The colors pop, the animated backgrounds are vibrant and breathtaking, The animation is crisp and consistent, no lag even as hordes of enemies swarm the screen

Beautiful game, great characters, and just a lot of fun
Everything seems perfect until you finish the first story arc and realize you have to essentially beat the entire game over again as a new character, defeating the exact same enemies and bosses
The only flaw, and its a massive one, is youre essentially beating the game several times as different characters who dont play that differently from one another
The gameplay is so much improved in this remaster, and while it can feel a little samey if you don't like a character, the game is paced well enough that you move on before it's too much of a chore.
Every character and costume design is highly memorable
