While tent was being set-up the kids filled the bags with sand ;-]. We use mostly on beach and they worked well anchoring the legs of the tent,even when the wind picked up

The price is right, the material is heavy and holds a lot of sand, and they save many tears as the cabana, tent or umbrella blow down the beach.

The only issue is they need better quality zippers because sand leaks through on 2 of my bags at the end of the zipper.
I will say that the sand will leak out a little from the top (zipper) area when laying on its side but other than that the sand doesn't come out.

We used a heavy weight garbage bag inside the canvas bags to place the sand in which keeps water out of the sand and has keep the canvas bags in very good shape.
I've been using square canvas bags with sand for weights and have jealously eyed people with nice weight bags like these
These weights work great and have a close profile to the corner poles to avoid getting in the way.
