Hot N Cold, the best song on the album, is pop perfection
This album goes from the dynamic pop of One of The Boys to the dancing electro of I Kissed A Girl and Hot `n' Cold
Some songs are fun like "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot n Cold", while others are more on the serious side "Thinking of You" and "I'm Still Breathing" (my personal fave)
She then ditched the predicted "one-hit wonder" status by cranking out a few more hits, such as "Hot N Cold" and "Waking Up in Vegas"
The singles 'I Kissed a Girl,' 'Hot N Cold', 'Ur So Gay', and 'Thinking Of You' are all killer tracks from this album, if not among the best.

Whereas a song on Morissette's new album is titled "In Praise of the Vulnerable Man," Perry wields the proverbial ax at men in many of her songs such as "Hot 'N

Hot N' Cold: This song is probably the most pop-ish song out of all the songs on this album

As a result, the album fails to make a grand impression on a more discerning listener and is primarily aimed at teenaged consumers, a demographic whose musical tastes are inconstant and often lesser-minded.
It seems like Katy has decided against going in this direction on "Teenage Dream", but this remains a great, enduring standout
To me there are elements where Katy seems to struggle with trying to get everything into this song and it seems cluttered.
Sorry Katy but this album is horrible, one of the worst of 2008 along with Miley Cyrus.
It's Katy in her early years and just as good in her early years and just as good as her late years
According to popular consensus, this album has been something like three or four years in the making; the MATRIX's number one maven Katy Perry finally drops her debut album (at least under the name she is currently going by these days), and it is nothing more than a ho-hum affair
`I Kissed a Girl' to the surprising tenderness of `Thinking of You' (the two best tracks on the album, by far), Perry shows a nice range for the genre she's embraced
The slower tracks are the some of the best on "One of the Boys" like "Lost" (very underrated)
In addition to I Kissed a Girl, the CD has spawned the single Hot & Cold (track No.7), which went on to peak at No.3 on the Billboard Hot100 music charts.
The title track, "Waking Up in Vegas", and "Self-Inflicted" are the closest to "classic" pop that she gets; the latter two are among the best tracks on the CD
Didn't really like this track all that much at first, but I realize Katy's not in it for the

This is not a bad pop album but it's not as good as her other album
While I very much like the quality of Katy Perry's voice - she's a husky pop shouter with a delicate breathiness in her upper register (I suspect, from Youtube clips, that she requires some studio assistance to deliver a vocal take with no tuning issues, but that's not a major problem on a record!
Overall, One of the Boys can easily be considered one of the best pop albums of the year, and deservedly so.
She caught my attention with Hot and Cold as I loved the rhythm and energy in that song
Everyone seems to hate this song because it's supposetly "anti-gay" or
Even trashier than the lead single, this song walks a fine line between disgusting gay-baiting and actual fun
Hot n' cold: 1000000000/10 demands to be a single as well, she just delivers the message of the song sooo well, and describes ups and downs in a relationship as well as to the point of contrasting it with bipolar disorder

The problem is, most people won't give it a chance if they don't like this type of music, and that is a damn shame.
People should not be ashamed of their sexuality and her songs convey insulting messages to people
Hopefully enough people will actually give this album the attention it deserves.
This song also has a funny, and good message; people shouldn't be so fake.
Okay I will admit it, I fell under the spell of Katy Perry's I Kissed a Girl, despite myself, like a lot of other unsuspecting people when the song was released in 2008 ahead of her debut Pop-themed
