The tiny, cheap model kits are very hard for them to manipulate, and larger model sets are wayyyy too expensive or hard to assemble.

This molecular model has helped me so much with my organic chem class, especially now that everything is virtual and twice as difficult

Great set for the price, but the lid doesn't stay closed and the box is a tad small for all the pieces plus the atoms

While my college provided student kits for us to borrow, they were huge, old, difficult to put together/take apart, and missing pieces from the previous borrowers

Nobody wants to have a bunch of atoms and bonds falling out and lose pieces

The overall kit is good, but sometimes the pieces are hard to remove from each other

The bond pieces are awesome too, the flexible pieces are flexible, and the bond remover tool works very well

This kit has more pieces than most other kits and works great to make molecular models.

I am also upset that "lone pairs" are not included in the set, as that would help students see the shape of the molecule more clearly

Not a big deal since most model kits ignore lone pairs but after many years of teaching molecular geometry to college students I find that students do benefit if lone-pairs can be included in their models

For those who would like to include lone-pairs of electrons in their models to help visualize the relationship between Lewis structure and molecular shape (such as on the oxygen in water or the nitrogen in ammonia) it would be nice to have 4-hole (tetrahedral) oxygen and nitrogen atoms in the kit
