There were several other models I was looking at purchasing, but as a beginner with this instrument, I don't think I could have picked a better model.
I contacted Butler Music right away, and within 24 hours, I received an email from Andy with a sincere apology for the mix-up and a tracking number for the correct model (along with a return shipping label)
This model sounds more like a harp and less like a guitar than models with say, a maple top

The two star rating is for the lack of enough photos (1 photo), meager product description, and misdirected reviews that make an informed purchase difficult.

Negatives are that some of the chord bars have uneven felt which doesn't silence the necessary strings properly, leading to an unpleasant sound on some chords, especially with amp.
With the finger picks, you can really make a powerful sound!
It holds the tuning very well, and it has a really nice sound, whether it's used as an acoustic instrument or plugged into an AMP.
This is a beautiful instrument, with an excellent sound both acoustically, and plugged in
It has a beautiful sound (once the strings that buzzed were adjusted)
I am returning the harp because of the uneven felt pads and the loose tuning pins, and the very tight cable receptacle.
If you're playing by yourself you probably don't need to be tuning it every time you pick it up as it seems to keep fairly good tune with itself
I was especially impressed with one model, very similar to the OS45CE that I'm reviewing, with the electronic pre-amp and a fine tuning system, and decided that this is what I wanted
It holds the tuning very well, and it has a really nice sound, whether it's used as an acoustic instrument or plugged into an AMP.
I am so glad I got the model with the electric pick up, as It plugs right in to my electronic tuner, which makes for much easier tuning.
I recommend buying a hard or soft case with this autoharp just for the purpose of storing and carrying
The Os45ce (capitalization is only difference) has the tuner, equalizer, battery compartment, fine tuners and a case.
I was disappointed to find that the pick up is passive, no volume or tone control, also no built in tuner, also a soft case would have been appreciated
