Traditionally, you use burner fondue pots (caquelon), however, I decided to try this convenient electric fondue pot

It heated quickly and didn't overheat our fondue.

Makes perfect cheese fondue.

However, if you do not know how cheese fondue is supposed to look like, or you buy it for other uses (e.g. Chinese hotpot / fondue chinoise) this might be good!

I'm old enough to know that some products - especially like this cheap fondue pot made in China - will produce a certain number of defective products

It’s stays very hot, makes it extremely easy to keep foot warm and works great even for heating oil for my beef fondue dishes

Yes, we still enjoy doing fondue.

Just a terrible fondue pot, it has a single coil in the middle of it that does not radiate heat evenly throughout the pot

so I decided I'd test them before Christmas night, not wanting a defective fondue pot to spoil our fun

It boiled and burnt the cheese fondue if it was on any setting other than warm, as well as the chocolate on all settings

The good news is that I realized I don't need a fondue pot to make really good fondue.

We have a older model & still works great but needed a 2nd one for a fun family fondue night and we just tried it

This pot is perfect for a hot oil fondue or can be turned low enough to do a cheese or chocolate fondue.
