Rambling explanation for what I wanted: I had been looking for an inexpensive waffle maker for awhile, but all of my local stores carry what seems to be the same 3 brands/models, all with the same options and price ranges

And even I am using it in Singapore (yes, with a power transformer) it makes the effort worthwhile as it makes the best waffle

Has adjustable browning control, not sure if it really works as I mentioned time seems to be key

Great waffle iron, although I can not get waffles as crispy as I would like.

The indicator light illuminates as if the waffle is done only to find an uncooked waffle in the iron.

Ceramics is great - no need to grease, and no need to clean as the waffle comes out neatly
