I love the ceramic plates.
-
Upon further inspection I found the bottom plate was also loose
-
Before use, I cleaned the plates with a soapy washcloth, and since then I just wipe the plates clean with a damp paper towel or cloth
-
The ceramic plates make clean up a breeze and no trying to scrub off bits of waffle.
-
* I love the ceramic non-stick plates
-
The top plate separated from the iron.would not recommend it
-
Waffles are as big as a dinner plate - perfect every time!
-
plus I thought to myself the low price will allow me to see how well ceramic plates work and allow time for someone to manufacture the removable ceramic plates that I really want (George Foreman almost there)
-
Instead of washing the unremovable plates with soap and paper towels as suggested on their very well-written instruction booklet, I chose to wipe the plates clean with paper towels soaked in warm water, wipe dry, and then make a full-sized “THROW AWAY” waffle to further clean the waffle plates
-
I poured a teaspoon of hot water into the bottom plate after I finished cooking, let it steam up for a minute, and when I reopened, the top plate was completely clean
-
I had some kids for sleep over, waffles was on the breakfast menu, this picky eater cleaned her plate
-
I heat the maker until the green light came on then sprayed a little cooking spray on the hot plates, put about 2/3 cup of batter in then close and wait about 5 minutes when the steam stops
-
Plus, the ceramic plates are not poisoning my family at breakfast.
-
If you accidentally over fill the plate, the food can leak in between the hot plates and the cover
-
The top plate separated from the iron.would not recommend it
-
Easy to use, love the ceramic plates, made a stack of delicious waffles!
-
Love the ceramic plates
-
Lower plate is hotter than the upper plate.
-
The 4th time I used it I noticed the top plate was loose
-
I have washed the plates and it still smells horrible
-
I have been looking to replace my old Tostmaster for awhile since the top plate stopped working about 6 months ago
-
The 4th time I used it I noticed the top plate was loose
-
i think its discouraged because it can leave a sticky film that will make it nonstick and harder to clean as
-
And even I am using it in Singapore (yes, with a power transformer) it makes the effort worthwhile as it makes the best waffle
-
Has adjustable browning control, not sure if it really works as I mentioned time seems to be key
-
Great waffle iron, although I can not get waffles as crispy as I would like.
-
The indicator light illuminates as if the waffle is done only to find an uncooked waffle in the iron.
-
Ceramics is great - no need to grease, and no need to clean as the waffle comes out neatly
