This was quite a problem as the wireless adapter in my surface had already died (warning, surfaces can't really be repaired, they need to be replaced, and if they are out of warranty, you are buying a new one!).

It's not as fast as some wireless adapters out there, but it's fast enough for me to stream a Blu-ray movie over the network.
