It's good looking, however I wanted a LOUD whistler, and this one isn't .

But being the avid tea drinker that I am, I figured this dang kettle can't take rocket science to operate, and sure as heck would be nicer looking than the sauce pan I had been using for the last month

I also like the look of this sitting on my stove, and I expect to get many years of use out of this.

At first I wanted the more modern looking OXO kettle, but reading the reviews on both of these, this one came out ahead.

The rivet attachments are cheap-looking and ugly.

I absolutely loved the look and how sturdy it was and was even willing to ignore the very slow boil time (why?) until brown spots started to form

When we first got this kettle, I loved the look and the design

It was everything I was looking for - big capacity, stainless steel, good looking, & it whistles

My dislike is that the exterior turned brown from the heat of the flame...and I can't return the stainless steel to its previous 'clean' look
