OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder

    • Researched these a bit; we were compelled by the consumer reports high rating; and we're happy with this nice fine burr grinder
    • Awesome burr coffee grinder
    • There is a small plastic "plate" just above the top burr in the Oxo that seems to help keep the beans in the burrs
    • Great Burr grinder
    • Great burr grinder at a great price point.
    • I've owned several other types of grinders over the years, but have always avoided putting up the money for a nice automatic burr grinder.
    • Excellent burr grinder for the $$$
    • If you like to spend a lot more time dumping out the bean container, removing the upper burr, and de-clogging the chute than you spend grinding and making coffee, this is the unit for you.
    • Easy to clean so far, but I have not yet had to clean the grinding burrs
    • Grinder has held up and been very effective for it's purpose- to provide a precise, accurate burr grind for morning coffee.
    • I can’t seem to find any positively great electric burr grinders
    • I take the coffee out of the grinder container, take out the burrs, clean them and put the coffee back in the container to get my coffee
    • I thoroughly clean it, removing the burrs and cleaning out the chute every week or two.
    • Top bin & top burr both very easy to remove for cleaning
    • I clean the burr with a good quality brush and a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol
    • I brush the shoot after each use and clean the top burr about 2 times per week.
    • Excellent burr mill
    • These problems sound worse than they are, this is a good little burr grinder and I would buy it again.
    • I wanted a good burr grinder because the coffee tastes better
    • Oily dark beans clogged up after a few weeks of use, what a mess we had trying to figure out how to get ground material out of chute above cup, but once the burr ( basket-like thing directly under hopper) was cleaned out and chute emptied, works perfectly
    • No too noisey (much quieter than my prior flat burr grinder) and coffee grinds have been coming out relatively consistent for drip, pour over, moka pot and aeropress coffee.
    • but so did my less expensive flat burr grinder before this
    • Flat burrs just can't really get coffee ground fine enough for espresso
    • Oxo Grind is a conical burr, coffee bean grinder, composed of metal and plastic parts
    • coarse grind isnt coarse rather lots of dusts stuck to the wall of acrylic as well as the burr
    • The instructions are concise and include how to clean the burrs, which is super helpful
    • By the time my previous expensive burr grinder finally bit the dust, I disliked it so much I was relieved
    • nice burr grinder , has no static like a lot of others grinders .
    • Best Burr Grinder I've had
    • Best conical burr grinder for the price!
    • This grinder is quieter than our hand crank and easy to clean (any grinder will require periodic cleaning and will have need some disassembly to get to the crooks and crannies and this design includes simple removal of the top burr for that purpose.
    • I've used a cheap burr grinder in the past and the gold-standard of grinders (mahlkonig) and can give some comparison
    • It doesn't do any better in those departments versus the cheaper flat burr grinders.
    • Good burr grinder for the price.
    • I replaced the sturdy upper burr into the plastic housing, reassembled the machine, once again trying a medium-course grind
    • I have cleaned the burrs once a week and have found cleaning very simple
    • Great burr grinder at a very reasonable price point
    • I have had extremely good luck with higher quality (though much more expensive) burr grinders including my favorite, the Baratza Virtuosa
    • Very nice burr grinder that stays very clean.
    • It uses durable 40mm stainless steel burrs and with 15 settings, plus micro-settings you can adjust the grind to your exact strength preference.
    • Great burr grinder
    • This is my fourth burr grinder and certainly the most expensive
    • Had a titan burr before that lasted forever but finally broke down
    • Got this to replace a burr grinder that broke.
    • Great burr grinder for the price
    • It is possible to clean the burrs ( not possible on Cruisinart)
    • Overall, a great burr grinder at a great price.
    • it sounds like the burrs are working, but the coffee does not grind.
    • This is the best burr grinder I’ve own to date.
    • This grinder works as well or better as any burr grinder I have encountered in the consumer space
    • very consistent grain size with the stainless steel burrs.
    • Prior to this purchase, I bought the Capressor burr grinder, which I found cheaply made, difficult to clean and it spills coffee grinds everywhere.
    • I cleaned both the upper & lower burrs with a small bristle brush.
    • I cleared out the burrs and the discharge chute, but after that no more fine grind
    • But, after taking the grinder upper burr out and cleaning the burr mechanism thoroughly and reassembling it, the medium grind setting produced a great increase in inconsistent ground particle sizes
    • The burrs give a much mor refined and consistent grind.
    • Like some reviews have stated a few beans get stuck around the handle for the top burr,
    • The rim of coffee rubble was cleaned out, and that top burr was brushed clean.
    • I have had bad luck with smaller, less expensive burr grinders.
    • I cleared out the burrs and the discharge chute, but after that no more fine grind
    • I considered other models that were somewhat cheaper, but I’m glad I settled on the OXO - the conical burr is high-quality and grinds very efficiently
    • I chose this grinder because several sites reviewed it as a good value for a conical burr (supposedly better than flat burr) and I liked the design, that it had a timer, and the ability to remove the hopper and swap out the beans
    • For $80 (got it on sale), it's a great automatic conical burr grinder
    • Great burr grinder and has LOTS of grind settings
    • I bought a cheaper burr grinder a few months before I stripped up to this one
    • Also, as far as I can tell, the burrs are not damaged
    • It took getting a conical burr grinder like this for me to realize that there really is a huge difference maker in grind with regards to espresso.
    • I bought a cheaper burr grinder, because what could be so different about a burr grinder
    • This was my first burr grinder, and it does deliver on the basic premise: the conical burrs give an extremely uniform grind
    • both burr and spice mill style that all disappointed in one way or another being noisy, long grind cycle or coffee dust generators.
    • Great Burr grinder at a great price
    • This one has a good burr grinder.
    • The burrs are easy to take out and clean if needed
    • When this happens you have to empty the top, and get all the beans and grinds out to remove the burr and clear the jam
    • This actually confuses me a lot-- the biggest cause of uneven grinds with a burr grinder is the burrs wobbling around during the grinding process, and the interior of this OXO is rock-solid
