OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder

    • The trajectory of the emitted charged coffee is such that about 98% of the charged coffee particles are caught in an attached stainless steel cup and the base on which the cup resides.
    • I also liked the idea of a stainless steel grind been, so there's no concern about breaking it
    • Relatively small foot print compared to other brands and designed with stainless steel to reduce static during the grinding process
    • It often imparts a static electricity charge to the ground coffee which makes it scatter or cling to the stainless steel container into which the ground coffee is deposited
    • a little bit!The canister that collects the grounds is made of stainless steel, which helps a ton with static.
    • The stainless steel cup is easy to use and the lid keeps the grounds in without making a mess when dumping them out
    • The stainless steel, grounded grounds cup really does reduce fly away coffee caused by static charge from grinding.
    • It is relatively quiet and the receptacle is stainless steel so it doesn't hold a static charge like the plastic ones in my prior versions
    • Note, we also bought a year ago the Oxo coffer maker which makes great coffee and has a stainless steel insulated pot
    • Multiple steps for grind setting (not meant for very small changes, but works well for the lay user)- Stainless steel grounds holder (easy to clean out)- Grinding timer with automatic switch-off (can manually turn it off too)- Still loud, but quieter for a coffee grinderCons:- Static buildup common in the grounds holder (if you lightly wet the beans before grinding, this helps prevent the issue)- Grounds buildup in the grinder after timer ends (usually tapping the side for 10 seconds will get the rest of the grinds out)- No space for scale beneath grounds holderOverall, not a bad grinder
    • The stainless steel cup the ground coffee falls into does not hold a static charge, so no mess
    • The OXO has a stainless-steel container for the ground beans
    • This one - with the stainless steel hopper, is MUCH better
    • The grinding burrs are stainless steel
    • It has a great grind selection and the stainless steel receptacle prevents the grounds from sticking to the sides and bottom
    • Little static - after the grind I let it set in the bin (stainless steel, not plastic) for 10-15 seconds) with my hand touching the bin and the body of the grinder before emptying
    • The stainless steel catch cup was not subject to “static cling” like the plastic cup on the Capresso.3
    • Stainless steel container is very easy to clean
    • As for the cup that catches the grinds: although not a complete air seal, the unique set up with the stainless steel cup and plastic lid that snap into the grinder work better than no seal at all
    • Static is greatly reduced with the stainless steel hopper.
    • The ground container is made of stainless steel, which is great
    • It grinds better, quieter, and has a stainless steel container with a lid that doesn’t have to be removed to scoop out the coffee....a huge improvement over the Cuisinart one.
    • Operation is quieter, and the stainless steel cup for catching the grounds is static-free, a real breakthrough
    • Easy to change the setting- Stainless steel cup doesn't have a lot of static build up (none really)- UV protected storage for beans in the
    • The ground coffee doesn't stick to the stainless steel container much at all.
    • The icing on the cake is the stainless steel container, which releases all the grounds with no static or fly-away
    • The ground coffee DOES NOT STICK to the stainless steel container, and easily pours out into the coffee filter.
    • Best of all, the canister is stainless steel and static free.
    • It uses durable 40mm stainless steel burrs and with 15 settings, plus micro-settings you can adjust the grind to your exact strength preference.
    • The stainless steel cup the ground coffee falls into does not hold a static charge, so no mess
    • The stainless steel cup rejects static electricity which seems to be an issue with other brands
    • Because it is mostly stainless steel, the static electricity is low enough that the grind is staying in the container.
    • Oxo also makes a grinder with a built-in scale but the deciding factor was the stainless steel bin which reduces grind scatter due to static electricity
    • very consistent grain size with the stainless steel burrs.
    • A bonus to me was that its stainless steel design (and perhaps its grounded 3-prong electrical plug) means almost all of the grind actually leaves the basket -- I can pour it into a French press pretty easily.
    • The ground coffee receiver is nicely made stainless steel but the exit hole in its plastic lid sometimes restricts the grounds so it doesn't empty completely and the restricted grounds are not visible.
    • - Having used many other (very expensive) grinders that make a complete mess, as long as the ground coffee container is locked into place there is virtually no coffee spilled - the stainless steel container eliminates static electricity and coffee chaff fly aways.
    • I like that the stainless steel canister produces next to no static to make a mess.
    • It also looks great with the stainless steel canister
    • Instead of the plastic coffee grounds catch cup that had static cling and needed frequent cleaning, well this one is STAINLESS STEEL
    • Very fast at grinding the beansThe stainless steel receptacle for ground coffee seems nice, but may be a source of problems, as the grinder has the
    • Stainless steel cup looks nice, but because of the heat and friction of the grinds coming out, they cling to the sides of the cup requiring a wipe down or banging the cup to get the grinds out
    • The ground coffee receiver is nicely made stainless steel but the exit hole in its plastic lid sometimes restricts the grounds so it doesn't empty completely and the restricted grounds are not visible.
    • One feature I especially appreciate: The collector cup is made of stainless steel instead of plastic and thus eliminates static electricity that causes ground coffee to go everywhere and make a mess
    • Great grinder for my family’s
    • n’t drain water thru the filter where the coffee grounds are
