OXO Brew Conical Burr Coffee Grinder

    • it gives a good consistent grind on the different settings i have used, is fairly quiet compared to others, the timed grind is surprisingly convenient, cleanup isn't too bad (only slight leakage outside of the receptacle), and the ability to just directly pour the freshly ground coffee into my filter from the receptacle is very nice
    • You have to smack the cup on the counter a couple times, but it still sticks sometimes.
    • Easy to use and a perfect grind every time.
    • I grind coffee only 2 times a week
    • Noise level low, grinding time also excellent
    • Third time this thing jammed up and I went to clean it--a crazy, arduous task--it fell apart
    • Why don’t they?- Reasonably quiet and very fast.- Straightforward manual, although I’ve only needed it twice - once to set up, and the first time I cleaned
    • This time I cleaned it out and I can hear the grinder, but it’s not grinding
    • This never happens with the OXO.My only (small) complaint is that I wish the control that governs how much ground coffee is produced was calibrated in cups as opposed to grind time.
    • The first few times I used it, it was extremely finicky, starting and stoping, not producing grounds, requiring removing beans, disassembly, removing grounds, cleaning, reassembly and restarting again
    • Worked for a couple weeks then got jammed up all the time and stopped working
    • The bet paid off, as I'm getting exactly the right amount each time after finding the right time
    • Consistent grind every time.
    • For larger beans, it always took longer than allotted maximum time of 30 seconds to grind the standard 60 grams of beans.
    • This is a poorly conceived machine and you will absolutely spend more time cleaning it than using it for its purpose
    • The second time I tried to use the machine, despite having been completely cleaned after the first use, it would not release grinds from the chute - causing the machine to bind up.
    • Once you experiment with the grind setting and grind time that makes the coffee strength you like, you can leave the timer and grind setting as is and just push a button to get what you need again and again
    • It's not a huge space taker, it isn't terribly loud, but it makes a ginormous mess every time we grind.
    • It left the counter a mess every single time, and was so inefficient that it only made sense to measure the coffee after grinding, resulting in a lot of waste
    • and I grind a couple of days' worth: every time I grind, I either need to clean it right then and there
    • I had a blade grinder before and didn't get a good, solid, consistent grind every time
    • The time it takes to make the coffee ready is faster with the Oxo than getting my coffee container from the pantry, measure out the coffee needed and dump it in the coffee maker
    • This coffee grinder clogs every time it is used, and therefore is worthless.
    • We don't use it every day, have only ground beans about 10 times.
    • start it a few times and a teaspoon of grounds falls out each time
    • Easy to adjust grind coarseness and grind time.
    • Very quiet, like the manychoices for your preferred grind and time of grinding
    • Up to two ounces of coffee grounds have fallen out of the machine each time we shake after use, and we shake/clean it after every time.
    • I use it everyday that I'm at home, and it's worked perfectly every time
    • Product works well every time
    • The first two times it was jammed with fine coffee, I managed to clean it, but it wasn't enough to simply follow the brush-iut-out cleaning rules
    • PROSThe Oxo is quieter than the Capresso, very easy to clean, you can keep a consistent grind time between uses, it's easy to use, looks cleaner and generally has less static.
    • Well designed controls for grind size and time to grind with consistent results
    • It is simple to adjust the grind and grind time
    • When shopping for a burr grinder, I hoped to find something I could set up to consistently grind the same amount of beans each time to keep my pots consistent without weighing out beans/grounds each time
    • I have to press the 30 second button about 4 times to grind enough beans for 8 cups
    • It ground them once, but the next time I used it I had to shake it every so often until it finally just died and wouldn't turn back on
    • Grind my own beans every time I make a cup of coffee.
    • Time (amount) and grind fully adjustable (extra fine - course)E-Z to disassemble (no tools) and clean (brush) about every 5 lbs. of French roast beans
    • I have a hand crank burr coffee grinder but it took such a long time to grind the beans that I finally decided to give this Oxo a
    • It replaced an older grinder that had arbitrary grind times
    • I was quickly able to find the right settings for the fineness and time to be able to not measure the grinds out each time
    • Perfect grinding every time.
    • Oxo Customer Service has ignored my 3 times reaching out to find out what I can do to fix this
    • I wasted my time buying two different burr grinders around the $40-50 range
    • This coffee grinder clogged up every time I used it and it’s difficult and very messy to unclog and clean out
    • We cleaned it (several times) and it seemed to work okay
    • and I grind a couple of days' worth: every time I grind, I either need to clean it right then and there
    • I complain all the time about
    • Dirt simple to use, not that loud (quieter than some blade spinners we had), and dead, solid perfect grind every time
    • Maybe it's just me, but I'm not having a great time with this grinder
    • As I said, I did succeed twice, but the third time it wouldn't work
    • It has only three controls, grind size, grind time and start/stop
    • The first time I ran it, I was struck by how quiet this little sucker is!
    • Noise level low, grinding time also excellent
    • It grinds different amounts every time
    • It worked fine the first time I used it, with the caveat that it will only grind for a max of 30 seconds, then has to "cool" for 2 minutes.
    • You can measure the right of amount of ground coffee every time you make a pot.
    • Overall impression: a rare example of feeling like I got more than what I paid for, which makes me happy every time I use it.
    • I can’t get a consistent grind time.
    • The grinds come out consistent every time as well and pour right out of the cup, and had minimal mess
    • It got jammed one time, but I just jiggled it a
    • I've probably spent three hours cleaning it and retrying, and every time it clogs within seconds, not gradually
    • Once I figured out how much time I need to grind for the amount of coffee I'm making, I just keep it set to that
    • Dirt simple to use, not that loud (quieter than some blade spinners we had), and dead, solid perfect grind every time
    • Looks as if it will last a good long time
    • It's also a time saver because the built-in timer automates bean grinding while I fill the coffee maker with water
    • I found it very easy to adjust the time and grind to get the quantity of ground coffee I need.
    • I LOVED this product the first time I used it.
    • Don't waste time or money on this product.
    • Very quick and quiet grinder, we can use it when others are sleeping in the house and it gives an even and consistent grind every time
    • It tops out at 30 seconds, which is not long enough for a full pot with most beans, and the jams make time a totally unreliable way to measure grounds.
    • It clogged the 2nd time I used it.
    • Once I get enough use with it, I could figure out the proper time for my needs via trial and error
    • Works great every time
    • The adjustable grind time seems to work well and a full 30 fills the canister about 3/4 of the way.
    • It clogs all the time
    • It STILL jams with coffee every single time I use it.
    • I looked at other, more expensive grinders with integrated scales, but decided to try this one with its timed grind feature

    • For this price it should work more than 4-5 times.
    • Dirt simple to use, not that loud (quieter than some blade spinners we had), and dead, solid perfect grind every time
    • Well, the first three times I used the grinder (once again carefully following recommendations in the guidebook

    • This has been such a time and arm saver
    • The grinds come out consistent every time as well and pour right out of the cup, and had minimal mess
    • This simple feature ensures we get the perfect grind every time
    • I previously purchased a Cuisinart burr grinder (which I also reviewed) and the static problem made it functionally useless; I spent as much time cleaning up grounds that scattered all over the place as I did making a pot of coffee
    • All when you want a cup of coffee - the worst possible time
    • The Capresso had a dial that gave inconsistent grind times, often needing to add more time if beans remained in the hopper.
    • n’t drain water thru the filter where the coffee grounds are
    • And an added bonus is that I grind exactly as much coffee as I
