and I would say compares with much more expensive units.

It makes noise, but it's not harsh or too loud--quite tolerable and only a fraction as loud as the other, evil unit

I would recommend this unit.

I returned the defective unit

So for the cost of having to replace the whole unit almost every year, I would go to a cheaper unit that has to be replaced every year

So when it comes to basic function, it's a great unit

I followed the manual's instructions for taking the unit apart and cleaning it, and I found nothing that should have caused the problem

Here I am with a grinder that only grinds for 2 seconds and customer service that does not want to take responsibility for a defective unit

Since I've had no problem with the grinder over the past nine months, the smattering of poor reviews due to product failure have me wondering whether Oxo has a quality-control problem on its assembly line that produces mostly good units, and a few not so good.
