OXO On Barista Brain 9 Cup Coffee Maker (8710100)

    • Design and engineering : very well thought out for repeated and frequent usage.
    • For starters, the design is modern and sleek
    • My basic criteria for buying this was: 1) Thermal Pot 2) easy clock/timer and 3) innovative sleek design
    • Simple sleek design
    • The design is sleek and classic
    • Another annoying design flaw
    • In case anyone is wondering, the carafe plate is NOT heated...but the carafe is very well insulated.- Very cool carafe design: there is a rubber "hose" that mixes the coffee as its brewed and poured so that there's no "really strong first cup" scenario
    • When I first opened the box I was so impressed with its sleek look and design.
    • I love the timer feature, and it is even a pretty design, so I don't hate looking at it on my counter top
    • The design is quite beautiful, and the construction is very good as well
    • I was fine with this but the carafe lid is a terrible design
    • I'm surprised that a coffee maker that is this expensive would be so poorly designed.
    • Very smart design, good looks, and very good coffee
    • So here you go, even though I still feel it makes a good coffee, I don't feel the quirks and bad design in other aspects deserve a high praise or rating. because we have to live with those quirks.
    • First I want to talk about the sleek design
    • Nice design.
    • It features a sleek design and I do like the cone-shaped basket.
    • This unit caught my eye...love the design, but was worried about reviews about brew temperature
    • Functionality, design and quality are superior and worth the tad bit extra you'll be paying.
    • The design is gorgeous and sleek(I received this as a free product through Influenster for testing purposes)
    • The carafe design is excellent
    • Simple design, easy to clean.
    • This valve should stop the flow of coffee when the pot is removed from the base, but due to poor design and a weak spring, it rarely closes and coffee runs out of the cone and onto the base.
    • Other that that, my 3 year old daughter preferred the aesthetics and design of the new OXO machine - and it does look more modern
    • There are a few other things that are minor nuisances...when you open the lid to the coffee basket to let it dry/air out, the lid is designed in such a way that there is a pool of water that is trapped, so when you close it again it dumps some water back into the basket or onto the plate the pot sits on.
    • it is not as intuitive as you'd likeIt is pretty, the design is nice.
    • Love the coffee, love the design...the people at OXO really think of everything.
    • Great design, excellent coffee, but terribly built and unreliable, and the thermal performance of the carafe is rather poor.
    • Design/appearance: The Oxo wins here
    • The Bonavita has a nice clean, conservative design, and is the most compact of the three.
    • However the design has 2 small flaws
    • Beautiful design, quiet brewing, and the thermal carafe holds in heat for much longer than I thought it could
    • (Not exaggerating)The Oxo Barista Brain:-Efficient Ingenious design; impeccable build quality;-Does not take up lots of counter space-Simple, explanatory assembly/instructions-Works EXACTLY as described/advertised-Brilliant one-button design controls each and every function-Cone shaped filter:
    • Big design flaw for a 200 dollar coffee maker.
    • Poor design.
    • I loved the design, features and quality of coffee that the machine produced
    • The Bonavita has a nice clean, conservative design, and is the most compact of the three.
    • Nice looking design
    • Design flaw or faulty product
    • Great design, excellent coffee, but terribly built and unreliable, and the thermal performance of the carafe is rather poor.
    • They could have made a better design
    • The design is clean and looks good on the counter too
    • This is a very luxurious coffee maker with a lovely modern design and very light weight
    • The designs are good, and the quality is always excellent.
    • Oxo usually has great design, but this is clearly a flawed product
    • I said I was upset because any electronics designer worth their pay would have designed a clock insensitive to minor power fluctuations
    • This machine makes great coffee and it has a sleek design and simple controls
    • Immediately I was in love with the sleek, chic design and how nice of an addition it was to all my other stainless steel appliances
    • It's a pretty stupid design flaw, and for now my review goes from 5 stars to 3.
    • Zero effort, zero guesswork, really smart design
    • I have long admired and purchased Oxo products because they are well designed, well built, and well priced.
    • I spent the money to get an awesome coffee maker and only got one that makes good coffee, without a good product design.
    • Makes great coffee and has a nice design
    • The design is striking but not obtrusive
    • The Bodum design is very attractive and very functional, and as I mentioned above, the unit has an awesome removable tank that is clear and well marked.
    • Great job designing this machine by OXO and for making it extremely high quality with producing fantastic coffee.
    • I like the design as it is compact and the digital interface is pretty easy to use
    • The build was nothing special and the carafe design was inferior, as I've noted above.
    • The handle is typical good OXO design – meaning it’s easy & comfortable to grasp & pour.-Timer counts up from the end of the brew
    • Also the design of the machine is really upscale and enjoyable
    • It brews great coffee, the design it is awesome and cleanup is easy
    • I love the sleek design and it doesn't take up as much counter space as I feared it would
    • I love the sleek design, it looks great on my countertop and everyone that comes by asks me about it
    • I also don't like the installation design of the stopper into the carafe.
    • BUT: I'm deeply frustrated with this and think it is very poorly designed for what it is.(1
    • I am very design-saavy and design-driven when it comes to my kitchenware and Oxo has ventured into an area that was much needed; good, clean design for appliances
    • Makes a great cup of coffee, spills the rest on the counter due to poor design of the stopper valve.
    • The machine has excellent design , the machine is very easy to use in every step, the coffee is excellent with very good taste, in my house now we use it every day we all like this new gift from OXO , which should , I remember that our friends sent us to conduct relevant evidence , really we want to recommend this excellent product
    • It's sleek and beautifully designed
    • (The only close competitor is one by Bonavita, but its poor carafe design w its terrible pouring experience instantly disqualifies it).I have used all the coffeemakers out there over the years; past 10 were spent experimenting with various all-in-one Grind & Brews
    • Another annoying design flaw
    • The design is amazing and is sure to stun anyone who walks into your kitchen.
    • I love the sleek design and features on the coffee maker
    • Everything about the machine is well designed.
    • In addition, it's easy to use, easy to clean, and has a gorgeous design (love watching the water bubble up the stem).Since it does not have a heater unit to keep the prepared coffee hot (aka burned!
    • While the knob/ dial feels a bit flimsy, this Oxo seems well designed (minus the height) and built
    • Sleek design
    • My favorite design feature is the clear tube in the middle of the water resevoir: you can watch the boiling water travel up towards the shower head
    • The carafe design is very important in a brewer like this, and the single lid design, heat retention, and pourability of the carafe are superior to the Bonavita 1900's thermal carafe (the OXO's only serious rival in this price-range.
    • Personally, I like the design of it because I appreciate the work space in front.
    • Beautiful well though out design
    • Beautiful design.
    • Great design, easy to use and very simple
    • And Oxo makes some simply well-designed products, this being one of them
    • Build quality seems great and the unit is very well-designed, and the LED display and rotary controller are intuitive to use
    • But honestly, I am now not going to recommend this to folks, between the cover holding water, that is also a bacteria or mold grower, the basket's poor design, the spring stays up and it leaks, and now this ..
    • The mixing tube is very poor design because the water that drips out of the spring loaded filter basket aperture doesn't have anywhere to go
    • After years of experience with cone vs basket: there is no question which makes the better coffee-Programmable automatic brew; Brew-Pause feature (which drips NO coffee when used)-BEST stainless steel carafe design: ALL the coffee is dispensible w NO wild drips or coffee flying everywhere-Does momentary Infusion before/during brewing (this does NOT add any noticeable extended time to brew-time: its done in 5 minutes)Combine this w a great coffee grinder (the best out there and most convenient is the Capresso Infinity) and you're in pure coffee heaven- trust me
    • Some have already written about how the design complements their counter tops and makes a great conversation starter - and they're right
    • It's so CHEAP or poorly designed.
    • I went with the OXO because it is a very well-designed, easy to clean, user friendly brewer that makes excellent coffee
    • The machine has an attractive, clean design, it does not beep, it brews more quickly than other machines I've owned, and it is cool to see the heated brew water rise to the brew head
    • Yes, the design is appealing, and yes, the one knob control is intuitive and user-friendly
    • and I really like the design of the coffee maker itself!
    • The OXO works on all counts, but as I mention in my update it has a really stupid design flaw that limits it to 3 stars
    • It has a nice simple design and is quiet.
    • It's design is sleek, and it's
    • I love the sleek design of the OXO On.
    • The machine is quiet, well designed and I JUST LOVE it and always look forward to the next cup of coffee.
    • The design is sleek and looks great sitting on the countertop
    • It also has a very sleek, elegant design
    • Makes fantastic coffee, is easy to use, great design
    • I really like the sleek look and design
    • The design and manufacturing have too many flaws that affect usability, both units I tried didn't meet the SCAA temperature standard even though they're certified, and they just didn't make good coffee.
    • The coffee carafe itself keeps the brewed coffee warm for quite a bit if you want to take it off the machine and bring it to a table or desk (if you work from home, as I
