OXO On Barista Brain 9 Cup Coffee Maker (8710100)

    • our last pot leaked and had other problems.
    • I descale the unit regularly and clean the pot and
    • Makes a great pot of coffee
    • The pot holds 9 cups and, in my case, measuring the coffee, my first pot was a little too strong.
    • Really love this pot, makes great-tasting coffee and very easy to operate.
    • The countdown timer is nice to serve as a reminder of how fresh the pot of coffee is
    • we're going on our second month now without a single bad pot of coffee.
    • You could use the pot(s) for other things... like ice coffee or iced tea.
    • I like that the pot isn't glass (less cleaning and no brown stain burned onto the glass) and being a closed carafe, you can bring it to the table and not worry about the coffee getting cold
    • One part that is the head of where the coffee drips from, fits rather loosely, and if you do as I do and turn the pot over , over the sink to drain the extra one ounce of water, you might drop that drip head into the sink
    • The actual pot is very easy to clean after use
    • My wife and I love this coffee pot
    • As others have stated, the pot worked great and made an awesome cup coffee for about 9 months, then it started to not complete the brew cycle in the 10 minute time period
    • I wish the pot kept the coffee hotter for longer, however
    • This has not happened to me, because I drain the pot every day after the coffee perks
    • It does stay hot in the stainless steel pot, but it does eventually cool down
    • basically, I like that I can put a full pot of water in and boil multiple cups of water for my peppermint tea for quick relief and go back if I want another cup later
    • The coffee then filters into the bottom right section, the stainless steel pot
    • Finally, a great coffee pot
    • It makes a crappy 2-cup pot of coffee - the coffee only gets lukewarm
    • Not the fastest pot of coffee but clearly the best
    • There is no guessing...this amazing coffee pot wants you to drink this coffee at its peak!
    • So perhaps the heat in 9 cups is sufficient to warm the pot without over-cooling the coffee
    • Maybe it's the heating process or the rain shower nozzle, but this machine produces a hot, smooth, strong pot of coffee
    • One of the best pots of coffee ever
    • I enjoyed the coffee so much, I made a second pot.
    • Not only does the unique look of it make for a desirable coffee pot that doesn't make the rest of your kitchen look bad, but the pot itself keeps my coffee piping hot for longer than any other machine I've ever used...a huge perk for someone like me
    • However, it brews an amazing pot of coffee and truly feels like you've brought the coffee shop home with you!(received for review, influenster)
    • I like the stainless steal pot, but it does not really stay warm all that long because there is no heater beneath it
    • The pot keeps the coffee reasonably hot for a reasonable amount of time.
    • Smaller amounts are as good as a full pot
    • My criteria for the ideal coffee pot is that it is user-friendly, and makes a very good cup of hot coffee
    • While the rage today is all about using a pre-measured, pre-contained coffee brewing method (like K cups), to me, nothing can take the place of a great-tasting, fresh brewed, classic pot of coffee
    • Most importantly, it made a really good pot of coffee and you can leave it on without the coffee burning
    • I would recommend this coffee pot for anyone who really loves coffee
    • Makes a good tasting single mug as well as a full pot, eliminating a need for a separate single serve coffee maker
    • Love my new coffee pot.
    • It's a nice coffee pot , well worth the money!
    • I love this coffee pot
    • Makes an excellent pot of coffee; I concur with the lengthier positive reviews I've read here
    • The display's clock is easy to set and easy to read and -- in sum -- it's a great coffee pot.
    • I have been looking for a great coffee pot that doesn't produce bitter, almost hot coffee and this
    • The pot stays warm enough to get through it well
    • Thermal carafe works well - to retain heat in the coffee one should temper the pot with boiling water prior to brewing.
    • I love this coffee pot
    • I loved everything about this coffee maker, except the first pot was always lukewarm
    • So happy I did, its so nice waking up to a great brewed pot of coffee even with the coffee being ground the night before
    • I docked one star because it's only supposed to work with their annoying pot
    • Quickly, quietly, and evenly brews a great pot of coffee.
    • Both are masters of precision and incredibly simple to operate, and both are wonderful because they make it much easier to get a great pot of coffee.
    • I did receive this coffee pot free for testing purposes, but I believe it is definitely worth the investment
    • Their is a mixing wand that allows your cups to be consistent through out your pot
    • Mine had a weak spring and leaked every time I pulled the pot out or dumped the
    • The pot isn't finicky (no buttons or levers, no weak points) and coffee stays hot in it for a reasonably long period of time
    • looks like a lovely pot, but the cord is so short that it doesn't reach to our outlet
    • A good coffee pot but way overpriced
    • I like that the pot isn't glass (less cleaning and no brown stain burned onto the glass) and being a closed carafe, you can bring it to the table and not worry about the coffee getting cold
    • Just a few years ago, such a great pot would take a ton of care and patience, or a device like an Aeropress (which is a different method, but produces pretty similar coffee that is extracted just to the right amount, with a lot less acid).Until the OXO, I really was quite a snob about the Bonavita.
    • Great coffee pot that makes delicious coffee
    • When I shook the pot, I could hear the water sloshing around inside and it will not drain, no matter how I tilt the pot.
    • Thanks, Amazon for allowing returns until the perfect coffee pot was obtained.
    • After the coffee has brewed and sat on the heat plate for a while, it would be HOT, so if heat is your main concern, go with this style because none of the high end brewers use a glass pot/hot plate except technivorm (too $$$!) and bonavita
    • This 9 cup, OXO Barista Brain combines all the benefits of modern technology to produce that classic pot of delicious coffee
    • Makes a good pot of coffee.
    • This machine makes a perfect pot of coffee every single time.
    • Could it really be as attractive, minimalist AND make an amazing pot of coffee
    • makes a great pot of coffee.
    • Beautiful machine, with a perfect cup/pot of coffee
    • I LOVE this coffee pot
    • Love this pot
    • I definitely recommend this coffee pot!
    • While we were pleased with some features of the Bunn, specifically the stainless steal coffee pot, we were looking for a machine that had a timer and a different coffee grind holder.
    • The pot keeps the coffee hot an hour after its been made which makes setting it the night before and having hot coffee as I go out the door a breeze
    • But I really loved the unit- nice looking and made a really good pot of coffee
    • None of the previous machines did this - although all were ten or fifty times better than open pots, there was always a bit of oxidation bitterness, even if the lid was kept on the thermal caraffe.
    • I never have to use extra grounds for a stronger pot wasting my coffee, rather the OXO always gives me an even and full rounded flavor from my grounds
    • Just sending back my second machine which arrived misaligned--the pot is askew from both the bottom holder and the drip.
    • You would have no idea an incredible pot of coffee was being brewed until the slightest and softest bubbling sound at the end of the brew cycle
    • Te thermal carafe is awesome for me because I like to drink coffee for several hours on the weekends and the pot stays hot
    • The pot made a gurgling noise constantly during brewing and as I said above did not finish in the 10 minute time period.
    • This coffee maker makes a very fine pot of coffee
    • The good: This makes a fine pot of coffee.
    • A great coffee pot
    • While we were pleased with some features of the Bunn, specifically the stainless steal coffee pot, we were looking for a machine that had a timer and a different coffee grind holder.
    • Searching for a machine that would make a good small pot of coffee but also capable of making 8-9 very good cups when I found this treat
    • Someone who wants a nice-looking coffee pot on their counter and is willing to trade off minor functional features
    • The pot is heavy duty insulated stainless
    • We love the stainless coffee pot because it keeps the coffee warm even when you wake up too late
    • If you are looking for the right pot, this one is excellent.
    • My old Delonghi measured 178deg brew water, and a cheap-o coffee maker I was temporarily using measured 182deg.
