The Monitors actually have a great build quality, both the speaker quality and the cabinets.

The foam pad built onto the bottom is good enough for de-coupling that I won't be needing a sub decoupler / riser for my hardwood floor

Plug and play with usb and xlr, no stress and extremely well built.

Wish you guys explained more of how combo jack works as for the beginners

For anyone who's looking for excellent quality at a excellent price you can't get any better than the Rockville I would recommend it to anyone who is just starting as well as for professional artists themselves.

Rockville has produced a fine powered subwoofer for smaller rooms

In a studio or a small-ish venue (25' x 50' or less) it has enough power and sound output to provide most of the low end

This allows a user to feed either a stereo signal with the appropriate cable or a mono bass output with a Y-adapter cable (which I prefer) to each of the two inputs, thus maximizing the available power applied to the driver

Really nice product if you don't have a whole lot of money

love them a lot cheap price and nice sleek look

Seen these speakers at a good price and thought I'd take a chance on them

Changing the amplifier to boost the top end 4db ended up messing the mids that makes vocals sound shrill (not unlike playing tape on fast forward)

The mids and lows in these speakers are JBL like, but the top end is missing a bit of sparkle

This sub has a nice punch to it and the low end it has

If you are looking for good clarity with good low ends and a lot of volume, get these

It goes very Low without the "OVER RUMBLE" of other GOOD LOW BASS SUBWOOFERS !!

They could easily be loud enough for a good sized house party, they just wouldn't have enough bass to give it a real "club" feel

so far so good great sounding sub just wish the power was on the front instead of the back

To be honest, I didn't expect these to be the best monitors out on the market, being that they are under $200

So for the price....these rockville 8" monitors are an absolute steal seeing as they were retailed at $450 originally...and you can't even find them on the their website.

Let me start by informing you that I have owned only passive monitors with a dream of one day being able to have a set of nice active monitors

They look great on stands and don't have the logo in the corner which was a nice surprise :)I prefer to have a nice, clean look without logos on my things

Second if turned up above the half way point on the internal amp it makes a soft humming noise when no sound is being input

These monitors have small scratches, the box is damaged and these speakers make a strange noise even though I do not have a music on

After hooking them up to my PC and turning on the computer I can hear a faint "hiss" noise out of the speakers

There’s an annoying hiss when volume is at zero but the speakers are so beautiful I can live with it

They sound great and are some sexy speakers but when they aren't playing anything there is a constant static hissing noise

And you are also treated to the same loud POP when shutting them off.

This subwoofer works great once you get past the cone shattering, loud POP when powering them on

To avoid the loud POP, I get to crawl under my audio desk, reach behind the sub and turn it down, then switch it on or off

These sound better than some $20 speakers but the popping is making them not worth the price
