From day one they would charge and then the phone would give error and tell me the batteries were BAD, this would occur after a couple of days.

Once this message appears, then all charging stops until you remove and replace the batteries, or until phone goes completely dead.

Good name brand batteries to replace the old ones in my portable Panasonic phones at the house.
