He just didn't know it!I think this could be this same scenario with the soft lens stories on the FZ 2500.

All 3 lenses were clear as bells, not as good as Zeiss lenses on the RX10IV Sony, but very good clear lens.

It was the clear Zeiss lens, the long 600mm opitcal zoom, 2400mm digital zoom, and the fast speed of the processor that made me take the RX10IV!

The build quality is excellent and feels very solid in my hands.

Extra zoom is useful, touchscreen makes shooting very simple, the ND filter is a nice feature for sunsets and high contrast situations, and 4k video is very flexible and high quality.

For example: if you forget that you've turned on macro mode, you will not understand why the zoom will not go advance beyond optical zoom to advanced digital zoom; if you turn on silent shooting mode, you can't use the flash.

No fuss nor muss, just a sharp, vibrant shot almost every time

I hope what is wrong with the Panasonic can be fixed by a future firmware update or some such magic since I really love shooting with this camera

This one has the shortest zoom, but the clarity of that 1 inch sensor and 4k video shooting as well as shooting stills while recording can't be beat!!!!

I can't seem to help the situation by shooting RAW since, realistically, sharpness enhancement is not much a feature of RAW.I enjoy taking wildlife photos which is why I wanted a camera with a long zoom such as this one

If you are looking for a prosumer camcorder that weighs heavy on the video part and does a very good side job for stills, look no further.

The zoom is easy to use and although you can run the camera in complete manual mode I find that the auto settings on the camera do a great job in all but the most challenging situations

The F2.8 lens is sharp for video (no comments on photos) and the fast tracking focus does a decent job

Flash does a good job, and it's easy to control the intensity of the flash

High iso performance is good and delivers a very usable and bright image

Image quality is excellent, and as others have mentioned, the integration of the touch screen, the programmability, the reach of the zoom, the advanced 4K video capabilities and excellent image stabilization all add up to a camera that I'm enjoying greatly and likely to keep for many years to come.

It takes a lot of effort to get the sharpest possible photos from this camera

I have seen very sharp photos in reviews but it is apparent on close inspection that these have been worked in post to enhance sharp

If the eyes are blurry, the whole photo loses vibrance and is pretty much "blah

The Touch Screen makes it very convenient for adjusting the focus point as well as adding 5 extra Soft Function Buttons
