  • Princess Peach calls for help, gets kidnapped, Mario comes and saves the day
  • Princess Peach being kidnapped by Bowser is not the main storyline in this game (like previous Mario titles)This game has complex gameplay when you go through the Chapters
  • The plot isen't to surprising, Princess Peach gets kidnapped agian for the upmost time, but at least not from Bowser, from an evil army of 'surfer-dude' sounding X-nauts
  • Princess Peach is kidnapped, Mario has to save her, blah, blah, blah
  • This game finds Mario out once again to meet with Princess Peach and unfortunately she is once again no where to be found

Reviews around paper (4.59 of 5)

  • not too hard I am almost done with it!The Good-Paper Mario is almost just like the first except it has a different story you can do a lot of new stuff! The Bad-Paper Mario is almost too easy if you use an online or book walk through
  • I also can't to play Super Paper Mario when it comes out!
  • but i was surprised to find that it has the same feel as the original (unlike Super Paper Mario)

Reviews around play (4.53 of 5)

  • The episode-based play worked perfectly to keep both of us from getting bored or frustrated; it was impossible to go too far down a dead end, or "lose" the game
  • Easily my favorite game I've played, and I sure have had an array of games in my childhood
  • Cute scenery and great play-time make this game a fantastic choice for Gamecube owners, from kids to older
  • This is one of the best paper Mario games I've ever played.
  • I love RPGs (role playing games) and I tend to love Mario games and their story plots and this game is the best of

Reviews around rpg (4.48 of 5)

  • I was hoping for a game that would be as great as Super Mario RPG.
  • this is a really fun game once you get past the diolauge.i usally hate turn based rpg"s but this one make it fun with every attack being a mini game.this isnt a hard
  • This is my favorite RPG of all time and quite possibly my favorite Mario game of all time as well
  • All in all a fantastic RPG, and in my opinion one of the best Mario games of all time
  • However, as a true RPG, it suffers a little because of the lack of a truly strong and engaging story line

Reviews around graphic (4.36 of 5)

  • One thing that got me was how they hated the graphics!
  • With much more intense graphics, a smoother handling and an appeal that speaks to all ages this game will be a thrill for anyone looking to relive Mario nostalgia and take a step into something new.
  • that hate these graphics, but you have to remember: it's called PAPER Mario
  • The first game had great graphics then, and it had a unique battle system that has been carried over, and improved during the second game
  • I only gave the game 2 stars because it has great graphics & has Mario

Reviews around condition (4.31 of 5)

  • The case is also in excellent condition, and came with the manual as well
  • Their description of the game wasn't accurate though, but I'm not complaining because they described it as in a worse condition than I think it is
  • The item came in great condition and I had a blast playing it
  • Classic amazing game, condition of disc was a bit sticky and dirty but played nonetheless.
  • came in perfect condition, and i beat the game in a week.... again.

Reviews around character (4.00 of 5)

  • The reading-required character dialog is a nice touch b/c it encourages youngsters to read.
  • the Paper Mario series!!I believe the first game is a little better (a little more iteractive) but this one is way more intrieguing and suspenseful!!The storyline is better as well;Princess Peach found this magical map from a strange character in Rogueport
  • Flavio, an arrogant self-centered entropeneur "pirate" entrepreneur you have communications with while going through with the island part after a ship wreck (let's just say he loves attention and being lazy) is another annoying character, though in a good humorous way this time
  • The reading-required character dialog is a nice touch b/c it encourages youngsters to read.
  • Goombario is replaced by Goombella (the two most useless characters in broth games) who `tattle' and headbonk, Koopa is replaced by Koops who can be thrown around in his shell, Bombette is replaced by Bobbery who can blow up walls, Bow is replaced by Vivian who can make you invisible, Parakoopa is replaced Yoshi to carry you across gaps, Sushi was replaced by the paper boat, Watt was replaced by Ms Mowz and while Flurrie is the only original character and replies on wind

Reviews around way (3.99 of 5)

  • The story is imaginative and driving in an unusually strong way for a Mario game of any variety, with an incredible life breathed into the setting in all the best ways
  • While I'll never be the biggest fan in the world when it comes to turn-based RPG games because the combat system itself strikes me as severely flawed and the extensive layers of storyline segments often times just feel like a cheap way to cover up what could've been more interesting action, I do have a soft spot for Super Mario RPG and over the years have even learned to consider it a minor masterpiece.
  • If you ever played final fantasy and you liked it, this game is like that but in a cheap and discraseful way to final fantasy
  • I like having 4 files to save games in, this way you don't have to erase your game file that you worked hard on the first day you bought it.
  • There is no way to skip it, even if you've lost at some point and have to go right back and play it again

Reviews around story (3.86 of 5)

  • This is my favourite Paper Mario game, it has an amazing story.
  • The Thousand Year Door is a wonderful story, not just for a Mario game, but for games in general
  • Pros: Lengthy story-line, the world is fun to explore and has many extra things to do that aren't part of the main plot, allows for 4 save files so multiple people can have saved games at once, plenty of
  • Simple, yet layered combat, funny story, and memorable locations and scenarios
  • This game is basically like the first Paper Mario but has new moves and a better story line

Reviews around gameplay (3.61 of 5)

  • It's not meant to be a deep complicated narrative; it's meant to be a fun humorous bit of fan-service for Mario aficionados on top of great gameplay - and essentially, that's what it is.
  • The gameplay is captivating and promotes creative problem-solving
  • Now, let's talk about the few gameplay issues that bugged me.
  • Loaded with witty jokes and innovative gameplay, Paper Mario has brought fun for hours
  • Gameplay can be difficult if you're going for a 100%, but very easy to get grasp of

Reviews around enemy (1.88 of 5)

  • Bob-ombs explode killing people around it while some enemies will go and eat or the kill the audience for life force
  • U have to choose what move u want to do to defeat each enemy and it takes forever especially if its a boss
  • Additionally, some enemies can strike you and attack from offscreen; the ability to zoom out to get a wider view would have been most welcome
  • On harder enemies, you may wish to use some of your FP (firepower) to perform a stronger attack
  • You have to use knowledge you've learned while playing to attack and defeat enemies

Reviews around disc (1.72 of 5)

  • The reading-required character dialog is a nice touch b/c it encourages youngsters to read.
  • Very clean disc
  • Disc is unreadable, finally decided to buy one of my favorite games of all time, amped to finally play it after arrives to find out it doesn’t read at all
  • The last thing to give me goosebumps of the severity that I had when I inserted the disc after being deprived for five years of the game was my first time watching Episode 7 of Star Wars when the famous fanfare blasted to life--that's how attached I am to this game
  • Game did not work as the disc was corrupt, very disappointed.

Reviews around bite (1.69 of 5)

  • Classic amazing game, condition of disc was a bit sticky and dirty but played nonetheless.
  • My opinion Best of Paper Mario Games but A bit Pricey Gamestop Sells for $
  • It arrived secure, a bit scratched up which worried me at
  • Only downside is that some of the help quests can be a bit mundane and boring having you travel back and forth multiple times through the same areas to complete it
  • It's not meant to be a deep complicated narrative; it's meant to be a fun humorous bit of fan-service for Mario aficionados on top of great gameplay - and essentially, that's what it is.

Reviews around wall (1.54 of 5)

  • The characters are literally flat like paper, and although the backgrounds appear 3-D, they, too, are supposedly made of paper (when you go into a house, the front wall falls away as though the paper was folded down).
  • The dialogue is only rarely witty and very few of the planned jokes are funny (except for Bowser's stuff); the several instances where characters break the "fourth wall" uniformly fall flat
  • I love how the walls of houses collapse when you step through the door, allowing you to see inside.
  • Bobbery is favorite secondary character, as he can blow up the walls
