Its very simple you park the car where you want to park and how close you want to park and program this unit to learn the preferred distance

If distance wasn't issue, probably would work perfect.

It seems to hesitate slightly when I pull in and have the car's grill lined up with it, but it still lights up red at the right distance.

Just plugging it in with the vehicle already parked at the correct distance seemed to automatically set the stop distance.

Distance from wall is reasonable but if you have any other items stored on wall (like my snow blower which allows for 12 inches on either side of sensor clearance) the unit my not function properly

Overall it's definitely worth it, I just wish that it worked as it should, more accurately with faster vehicle recognition.

This products works as it is advertised, but really does not do the job of parking a car precisely in a garage because it is not precise enough to solve the problem.
