pBone PBONE1B Jiggs Plastic Trombone, Blue - 2024 report by Whydis
pBone PBONE1B Jiggs Plastic Trombone, Blue
Color:Blue
The Jiggs Whigham pBone brings a fun and intriguing twist to the traditional trombone. With its plastic construction, this lightweight instrument sounds remarkably like typical brass trombones. The pBone features a .500-inch bore design ...
While it does not sound as good as a brass trombone, it is close enough
I played trombone for 9 years in school and couldn't afford to buy a professional model when I graduated since I wasn't pursuing a professional career.
Sounds just like my actual trombone, easy, very portable
It 5 stars isn't because its the best trombone in the world.
The intonation is surprisingly good for such a cheap trombone, but not perfectly on pitch
I'll attempt the "fix," but I cannot say that I'm happy with the product cracking like that after so little use
Definitely recommend this product to anyone - from professional musicians to someone wanting to learn the trombone!!Get it quick!
He enjoys practing on it and highly recommends this product to anyone interested in playing the trombone.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to pick up or continue playing trombone as a hobby but can't afford an intermediate or professional model horn
I'm a sophomore in high school marching and concert band and the pBone is great for both
A completely different experience from pBones 1 & 2.I have to say BWW gets top marks for their painless returns and pBone gets a C- for their quality control issues.
so for Christmas she just received her blue pBone and she LOVES
Altogether I love the pBone and reccomend it to any beginner or anyone that just wants to have some fun!
The brass can be played to louder volumes and rings out more, but the pBone is plenty loud when it needs to be.
The sound on it is great - very comparable to the metal version and is as loud as you would expect from any trombone
For a plastic trombone, the sound isn't that bad, although I would recommend using the regular mouthpiece like some of the experts suggested for better tone quality

Good sound for what it is, and a fun instrument to have

I first purchase one in Green, but I love the white color more and they work well.
The blue color was striking
Very easy to assemble and the cool colors also make it lots of fun.
Also good for school marching bands whose directors want to display trombones in their school colors, as two-color or even three-color pBones are available
Finally, fun colors available for these plastic instruments really up the "cool" factor.
These trombones are no substitute for the sound and quality of professional-level Bach, Getzen, Conn, Jupiter, Yamaha, etc., of course, but they make up for it in an affordable price and fun factor!

Price is cost effective and quality of the instrument is good.
BUT they will not honor the original price for yet another replacement.

The pBone doesn't sound as nice as that horn, but it's mighty good, and only $150
Light, good tone, and you don't have to worry about it in the rain like you do your expensive horn.
A horn like this would be so perfect for marching or for gigs
I mostly play on a Yamaha YBL-830 bass trombone, but I wanted to get a lighter horn for some of the gig's that I don't need such a large horn, or don't trust the area I am playing for a larger horn to be safe.
