The PDP Media Remote is a great addition to my PlayStation 4 controllers
The addition of the X, circle, triangle, and square buttons is a huge improvement over the original PDP media remote since many apps weren’t mapped for anything other than standard Playstation buttons.
So this is a very welcome addition to my home!The remote
n’t have to point the remote at the PS4 for it to work, though, since it works via Bluetooth
Device worked fine but it stoped working after 2 months!
Great device for people like me and my girl who use our ps4 to watch movies and Netflix without using my controllers batteries up
Overall I wouldn't recommend the remote feels cheaply made and it requires AAA batteries, a micro USB port would've made battery and connection between devices much easier.
Also the device feels very flimsy, not worth $30

The remote shuts off after 30 minutes, but it doesn't have the annoying "dualshock has been disconnected" message like a PS4 controller that interrupts my movie watching experience.- If the remote is powered off, hitting any button will turn the remote back on, and it will still register the button you hit.
This remote works just like the ps4 controller easy to pair up
Now I can use my PS4 as a functional bluray player as well :)

This thing drains batteries faster than any remote or wireless controller I've ever owned by a HUGE margin

This thing is great for my wife, who likes to use the PS4 for Amazon/Netflix/HBO but hates using the controller, especially with how easy it is to accidentally hit the trigger buttons on the controller causing things to rewind or fast forward
only problem is that they go through batteries like crazy!!
