With a 5-7 day battery life (significant longer than Apple or Android smart watches) and a durable, water resistant design, Pebble continued to defy the competition
If Pebble wants to really establish and cement their brand as a truly great Apple Watch alternative, they need to hire, at least, two, maybe three really good watchface UI/graphic designers to come up with some really impressive and "professionallly" designed watchface designs
pebble time is easy for apple user.low-priced though good design
I'm thinking of purposely scratching a design into it because I don't like the dark grey metal anyway
The Pebble android app is well designed and the watch connects easily to any android device/phone.
but at a cheaper price point and offering functionality that doesn't require further use of your wireless contract, Pebble starts to make some sense
So I got the Pebble Time due to the reasonable price and good reviews
The Pebble watch is a great smartwatch, with quality materials, at a great price point that won't break your budget and is every bit a solid alternative to an Apple Watch
So, I saw the Pebble time at a cheap price on Amazon and gave it a shot.
If you want a good smart watch at a great price, I suggest this one!!!!
If you know Pebble and understand what you're getting, this is a fantastic device
I love my pebble, just need a case to protect my device.
It works wonderful, feels wonderful and it an all around great device
I love it,I dont need to have an extra phone in my hand, but a device that can let me know if there's an important call coming, or keep me informed about what people is sending me on my mobile (emails / sms)
On the other hand, I would recommend the Pebble Time as a fallback device if you cannot afford the bigger name devices.
Truly disappointed as I found that the other features on the watch look to be fantastic.
Does everything I need it to, without a bunch of stupid features I don't need
A pretty nice smartwatch, it just doesn't work well with iPhone, you don't have all the features that you have with Android, like delete emails, answer texts, etc
The correct features you need from a smart watch in this decade
This is a great watch that does everything I want without the extra cost (and unneeded feature) of the Apple watch.
Why we are rating this as three stars is because the band that is provided has caused a rash, blisters and looks like a burn
Also, I appreciate the standard 22mm watch band- some other companies force you into proprietary bands, with the Pebble you can put any strap on it that you want
The band is the softest and most comfortable band I have ever
I LOVE the battery life (I'm getting just shy of 7 days as of this writing) and the water resistance (I can wear it in the shower). One thing I did not like: the band.
Down one star for having a not so great band that it comes standard with, but it's easy enough to change out
With all of the fancy smart watches out today, the battery life and water resistance makes this a clear winner
The battery lasts for several days without needing a charge and most of the apps and notifications work as you would expect them too
Every function in the description works as advertised, including the water resistance.
Opening the watches for repair would compromise the water resistance
I'm told (after doing exhausted research online) that after Dec 2017 there will be no more updates for the watch (there will still be 3rd party apps like watchfaces), but what you have loaded on your phone by Dec 2017 will still work as long as you have the Apps already loaded on your phone
i dont think- its a piece of glass and metal on your wrist-- things like that
Bright always-on colour e-paper screen with pretty good resolution (much better than the original Kickstarter screens); no trouble to read in the brightest of light; no silly wrist-based (inaccurate) heart-rate monitor stuff; no GPS (who needs it - you have one in your phone); not too thick or too big (unlike most smartwatches out there); beautiful dull lustre to the metal surround; button interface works very well (and is, in my view, a better option than trying to do it all by touch on a such a small screen); notifications and interactions with an iPhone all work very well too; battery lasts for anywhere from 4 to 7 days depending on how much you do with it; silicon rubber wrist band is well made but can be swapped out for something else in due course if want something a bit more upmarket.
No need to shake your wrist or tap the screen to display the time
The back light turns on by either shaking your wrist or touching a button
When trying to use the watch (as a watch,) I had to shake my wrist hard to get it to light up
The pebble time has a nice finish and I do like the screen
Like I said before, so far so good!!UPDATE(s)- 5/17/2016 - I have figured out how to send texts from the watch and it does work with IOS!
any bump on a somewhat hard surface will scratch the matt finish on the watch-face.2
Good watch - appallingly awful finish - wears and scratches as soon as you wear itJust Google for "Pebble Time finish" and see how nearly 100% of users report the watch PVD coating scratching and wearing off within hours

This is provided for by its non-LED, color e-ink display
Restart my iphone and the pebble numerous times because I kept losing the Bluetooth connection
Once in awhile it randomly loses Bluetooth connection with my phone, but I just open the Pebble app on my phone and it reconnects instantly
Stating annoyances, early on Bluetooth connectivity has been an issue with keeping a stable connection AND/OR trying to re-establish a Bluetooth connection after a disconnect or loosing the connection during a charging
Haptics are great and the connection with my phone is strong and reliable
Cons×Not as good looking as the Pebble Time Round and Pebble Time Steel×Smart straps still unavailable for the time being×Buttons aren't as tactile as the Pebble Time Round×No built in
Cons:-Doesn't support full voice
