They are very durable, with a comfortable grip and the lead size, 0.9 creates a smooth, textured writing on paper.
I've used that same one for over a year with intense writing and abuse in my backpack
Mechanical pencils aren't for everyone but if they're your preferred writing style, you form strong opinions on seemingly small things like how often the lead breaks while writing, how effective the eraser is, how the pencil fits in your hand, how much force you can apply on the eraser before it grinds itself up into a mess on your paper, how long it takes for the pencil to lose grip of the lead and just push it in when you try to write
Beautiful, great quality, and smooth writing experience
Thicker product (0.9) prevents breakage AND is replaceable, twist eraser is handy AND replaceable, cushioned grip keeps fingers from going numb during long bouts of intense writing.
The price of these made my heart hurt but as a college student that mainly takes science and math courses, these pencils are a life saver
They have all the advantages of the Sumo's-- fat grip (not as fat as sumo but fatter than a standard wooden pencil), generous twist-up erasers-- plus a lower price and a metal clip.
They can also be bought at a fairly cheap price, if one knows where to buy them
mm to .9mmplus the intriguing twist eraser featureAll in all, a good product at a good price
Good product and fair price for my middle schoolers who insist this is THE automatic pencil.
One annoying thing is the top half does not slide back onto the body completly unless the lead advance mechanism is engaged (which does mean that the tolerances between the two halves are nice and tight so a pretty fair trade-off).
You can replace the erasers and the lead does not break nearly as often,,, and I press down hard when I write.
I really like these pencils, the lead I bought writes with silky glide and the eraser performs well too but the pencil comes apart too easily I find the bottom half in my pocket or falling out of a notebook.
Just twist the bottom half of the pencil to retract and expand the eraser, perfect for getting the exact right amount at any time
Or the tiny white ones where you ended up wasting half of the eraser because of the little metal mount that held them in place
Pentel Twist-Erase III Automatic Pencil with 2 Eraser Refills, 0.7mm, Assorted Barrels, 2 Pack (QE517BP2-K6) purchased and received 10/15/15The problem I was having with this type pencil with the twist eraser made by Paper Mate was, that the eraser, when using, would twist back in
Enjoy using the Pentel Twist 0.9 mm lead pencils for writing and doodling.
I was thrilled when I read a review by a cyber friend (thanks "365andMe") talking about the Pentel Twist-Erase III Automatic Pencil with 2 Eraser Refills, 0.9mm, Assorted Barrels, 2 Pack (QE519BP2-K6)
The Pentel Twist-Erase III is my favorite mechanical pencil
I wanted to upgrade to a better mechanical pencil, so I decided to buy a 2 pack of 0.7mm and a single 0.9mm Pentel Twist-Erase III Automatic Pencil(s)
