This is the only portable Hue lamp and unlike the Bloom's opaque shell, this one has side illumination

This lamp does that pretty well, for something so small

I think everyone should have a fun magic lamp, they are just great!

I want to like the Philips Hue Go Smart lamp, but it makes no sense

Having already enjoyed some of the other Hue bulbs, I was interested in finding a good-looking lamp for my desk that would also light up the rest of my bedroom easily

I don't think I'll ever purchase another lamp again, these things are awesome!The color depth is rich and the options are vast.it allows you truly paint with light.

It would benefit from more "built-in" modes, and I wish the Hue app were more functional, but this thing is wonderful.

I love this thing - very lite weight and the basic modes provided just by pressing button on it are all pretty much appealing.

The nice things about these lights are that they put out a good amount of light

It's a fantastic hue bulb that you can move anywhere you want it

The light is not bright enough to illuminate an entire room by any means, but it offers a nice hue in whatever color you want as an accent.

In the attached picture a have 3 hue lights a wrapped led strip around the ceiling wood slice and 2 go lights one is stuck inside the cypress log makes a cool uplight .....be creative and you will be happy

We have added the Hue Smart Bridge (Philips Hue Smart Bridge (Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant)) and the Hue Dimmer (Philips Hue Smart Dimmer Switch with Remote (Installation-Free, Exclusive for Philips Hue Lights)) which in combo permit control by both the Hue Dimmer control or by using voice commands through Amazon's Echo.

It even welcomes me home after work by coming on when I drive into my driveway (thanks Hue bridge!)

But I have the bridge, and I like to control the Hue Go with Alexa, the Philips app, and other third-party apps (I use OnSwitch and Huegasm, and they give me all the control I need).

I first bought the Bridge with a couple bulbs while waiting for the Go to arrive and those first items have worked very well

Very awesome once you buy the smart bridge to be able to control them from your phone

Item is perfect, nice colors, looks good, has an internal battery

there’s a disconnect between the cool gradient fade effects that are built in and what’s possible while controlling with the hue app.... could be better.

it does seem to be made more for accent/wall lighting or for wireless use (at the lower power) rather than a neat effect light inside of a room

I like this lamp and it light effects, however to fully enjoy all its features another accesory is needed, hence the 4 stars, the app should control the lamp right out of the box

I hope this was a failure that doesn't reoccur in any of the other Hue Go lights in the market but the consequences could be so bad that I felt compelled to post this (and the photo).Besides that, the lights are a great idea but the execution is B-.

We're really enjoying the Hue system, and this was a great addition.

It was a nice addition for our hue lights to better the mood when watching movies.

Awesome addition to the Hue family... but does not seem to be compatible with Amazon Echo device yet, sadly.

anyway, great product. transition from off to mild light for morning wake up works much better than the hue globes - which don't do the transition thing very well.

Yes, it does talk to Alexa, but there are far cheaper - programmable - multi colored lights available.

The different lighting modes are all pleasant and the portability is so cool

I do really like the portability, and also that it will stay on in the event of a power outage
